Hey guys--- sign Jamie Moyer and Oliver Perez with your first pick!
I know a guy who's cousins with the trainer of both pitchers. He tells me they're both gonna have huge seasons this year.

Fuck Pujols anyway. It's gonna be either Votto's or Howard's year. Go with one of them Switch.

all joking aside....

we still have 1 spot left in the league, if anyone wants it.
If nobody else steps up to the plate before tonight's draft time, Cat has volunteered to be a place filler.

Thus, if you're still interested in playing, please let J Walter Weatherman or myself know TODAY.
Our draft will begin 6:30 PM (PST).

I have a serious question, and I know that you might not want to reveal strategies since this is a competition, but would I be wise to assume that picking a great pitcher first is a good idea since 5/10 of the categories are based on pitching? There are a lot of great hitters out there so you would think it would be easy to pick up a decent hitter deeper in the draft, but the decent pitchers might be gone.

Pitchers only play once every 5/6 days. Hitters play every day.

For the most part, there are a few "elite" pitchers that are definitely worth grabbing pretty early. After that, the majority of all pitchers are pretty interchangeable.

Thanks. I have been reading up on this all morning and I think I am understanding the strategy a little bit now. I am actually pretty excited about this because I used to love baseball but haven't watched it in a few years for some reason. I am ready for a summer full of BBQ's and baseball.

And if the current people REALLY want a chance at winning, just volunteer me in, because I've got no clue on logistics of this league.

That said, someone puh-leeeeeze sign up ;)

So we get 25 players on our roster, am I correct in saying that? Then we can drop and add players as the season progresses?

I have zero experience with this, I will be learning as we go along. I am an advocate of Cat being the tenth in the league. Anyone second this? If we don't have a tenth by the hour before the draft, we will not be drafting at that time, according to the website.

It is sleepy time for me so I can have some semblance of sleep before the draft. As such, if nyone other than Cat wants to join, one of y'all or 333 radicator can send them the PM I sent you. See you' around draft time, suckas!

If I understand this correctly -- Cat wants to join the league, but has not yet done so? Is that right?
