I was really curious to see who would risk picking him up.

Then Gibbons told me he picked him up. When he got bombed, I meant to log in and post something like, "bahahahahahahaaaaaahahahaha."

I think he rubbed off on the rest of the staff as well. |

The second half is upon us. Some of us are proud of the way our teams have played, some of us are not (probably speaking for drew). Some of us our proud of the players we drafted, some of us are not (speaking for the guy with 72 moves). Some of us started Tim Lincecum (gibbons and I), some of us wisely did not (everyone else in the league).
Here's to a great second half. May the best team (The Defectors) win!

As long as I don't finish last, I am happy. So far so good on that goal... however if Drew ever decides to...you know...actually start a full lineup, I think I might be in more trouble.

HAHAHAHAHAHA! He'll probably toss 7 shutout innings and K 10. FUCK!
I've decided to go for the A's sweep in Minnesota. Griffin, Milone and Parker. Let's get it done OAKTOWN!!! God it's fun to watch A's baseball right now. I'm loving life in a major way.

Close, it was 8 shutout innings and 11Ks. I'll also add a preemptive "bahahahahahahaaaaaahahahaha" at you for picking him up again.
CHUD really wants to finish with the most transactions in this league. He's starting to get creative. "Let's see, I can add this player, then drop him a couple minutes later and add someone else, does that count as two moves? Hmm, I can drop a player, then wait five hours to pick up a replacement. Does that count as two moves?"

3 wins from the A's starters and an inning and a k away from calling timmy's line. Nostradamusesque.
I'm just incredibly indecisive. Incredibly.
I took The Scum with my third round pick. I'd kill myself if he somehow turned it around and put up solid numbers for anoer team. He just pitched a gem, so I Dr. Garbanzoured I owed him another (3rd or 4th) shot. There goes my team era.

We all go through streaks when we can't buy a win, and streaks when we pile them up. I'm having serious issues lately. Not only did Jairo Garcia blow the Scum's amazing start the other night (and they would have won had they gone with Romo instead, the best pitcher in the NL), but right before the break, I watched the Brewers blow a NINE RUN LEAD to cost me a win. Fuck. I'm watching Axford try to blow another victory for me now. The two outs he's recorded so far were bombs to the warning track, each would have tied the game (after the lead-off walk).

I wish I had my third round pick, or second, or first. There is a reason I'm no longer running away with this league. Troy Tulo (I don't remember how to spell the rest of his name), Doc, and Mike Stanton, all on the DL. My fifth rounder is on the DL too.

I have made plenty of mistakes this Fantasy season (Mariners..). Trading Mccutchen was risky from the get go. I knew he was going to be really good but didn't think he was going to be MVP good. It would be fine if Bonifacio could keep healthy but damn he just went on the DL again. Also, I was anticipating Guera to be the Dodgers closer. Wow, that was a season changer. Nice trade wonk (not being sarcastic, well done)

Yeah, that was really bad luck for you. If you take the injuries out of the picture, and pretend McCutchen is actually human, it's still a fair trade. I really do wish it worked out better for you, I typically don't root against players I trade away. Those guys you acquired died quickly.

I'm struggling in saves, the reason I picked up the Franciscos, and promptly added about 14 earned runs in four innings to my totals. I think I got one save though?
For everyone else still playing who didn't notice, the trade deadline has officially passed since Badchoices's post above. We're stuck with who we have now.

AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH. Pissed that one of my most consistent players this season was consistent potentially due to performance enhancements. Melky suspended 50 games. YIKES
