When Nature Calls is fucking HILARIOUS. Much better than the first. It was written and directed by Steve Oedekerk, who is one of the funniest assholes alive (and a good friend of Jim Carrey's from as far back as In Living Color). He's the same guy who wrote, directed and starred in Kung Pow: Enter the Fist, which made me come closer to pissing my pants laughing than any movie I've ever seen.
Storm: Love it. This is my FAVORITE effing part. I laugh my ass off literally every time. literally.
HG: You're one of the FEW people I've ever spoken to who appreciates When Nature Calls as much as I do. Stamper and I have gotten ourselves into several lengthy debates over the first Ace vs. the second. I favor the second. And I know that people want to say that the second just requotes and recycles jokes from the first one, but I just seem to laugh harder at the second. Don't get me wrong, the first one is brilliant, but I can literally quote the entire When Nature Calls from start to finish.

When Nature Calls is amazing! Jim Carrey is fucking impressive (in this), though the jokes themselves are hit n' miss I am delighted and laughing anyway at the way he just goes for it and goes for anything non-stop for an entire movie.
We were watching this at work a couple of months ago and I could barely contain myself. The part where he asks "How did they get past the guard?" is too good. That man is pure bananas in that movie.
Never seen Enter the Fist, I'll try and catch it this weekend.

Enter the Fist is just silly stupid, but it was a real labor of love. Oedekerk digitally altered a cheesy old chop-sockey film and replaced the star's face with his own. It's very "What's Up, Tigerlily?".

I won't get lured into yet another Ace Ventura Pet Detective vs Ace Ventura: When Natures Calls debate. Both films are stupid, but the first one is less stupid. End of discussion.
Jim Carrey was originally cast as "Dr. Evil" in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery, but he had to drop out of the role due to a scheduling conflict with Liar Liar.
Weird. I thought Mike Myers being both protagonist and antagonist was supposed to be one of the biggest gimmicks of the movie.

Yeah, I don't think it would be nearly as funny if it weren't like that.
