OH BOY!!! I was wondering when the division clinch would come. Didn't realize it was tonight! They are on a tear right now, and I'm very excited for the post season. Definitely watching the game tonight. The Toronto/Caroline game is on right now, and is pretty high energy.
Did you happen to see the San Jose game? That had "playoffs" written all over it.

I hear that. You missed a doozy, but there is plenty more of that to come. I finally upgraded to HDTV a few months ago and it makes watching hockey 1000x better. I think my new 42" screen will pay for itself in saved bar tabs by the end of the playoffs.

Well, Salo is back, and is having an instant effect. First he gets called for a penalty and Colorado scores on the subsequent power play. Then a few minutes later he kicks the puck in his own net. Great.

... and maybe if Salo could wake the fuck up, that might be good too.
Seriously though, they played thru adversity and looking like shit thru most of the first period tonight and absolutely smoked them the rest of the way. Without any help from the refs I might add.
I have super high hopes for Daniel Sedin to win the Art Ross, and for this team to win the President's trophy. I'll hold off on planning the Stanley Cup parade route for now though.

Yeah, even after two periods I was not feeling very good about the game. It was pretty hard to watch at times. There were some pretty blatant hooking/tripping calls that were just not made. It took ages for the Canucks to get their first power play. I can see why Colorado would want to play it safe and try to not draw any penalties, but the refs missed some obvious ones. It really wasn't until the third that the team truly got their shit together. Henrik's goal off of Daniel's assist was fucking sweet. Empty netter aside, all the Canucks goals tonight were sweet actually. Colorado's first goal was well done, but I was really dreading the 'Nucks losing 2-1 due to Salo's skate. I'm glad it didn't end like that, and I'm glad we've clinched the division. Go Canucks!

This is how I feel. The first two are looking very likely, but the third is just too elusive. Here's to hoping!
