I forget if we have a thread about headphones.

Anyway, I just bought a new pair of headphones because my Bose around-ear headphones crapped out for the third time and I'm sick of them. So I started doing research. Holy shit did I fall down a rabbit hole. I honestly spent about 6 hours on Monday researching headphones, learning about brands, soundscapes, "warm mids," "bright treble," driver sizes, frequency rates, burning-in, and that's just the tip of the iceberg. I knew there was a headphone culture, but I had never jumped in head first. Fucking overwhelming.

Anyway, with my cash-back from my credit card, I ended up buying these:

Mostly because they're super durable and got fairly good reviews. Some people say they're too bassy, and I noticed that a bit yesterday when I got them, but people also say that ends up evening out over time. They're pretty much incredible - I wish I could wear them at work.

Does anyone, like, know a shitload about headphones around here?

Sennheisers blow. Trust me. Had Sennies for years and could not wait to get rid of them. People who claim they are superior to Bose are the same product snobs who claim PCs are better than Macs.
