Thanks guys! It really was the best to see everything all come together. It made me especially nervous to not be able to predict what the stuffing would taste like after it cooked inside the turkey. I already have ideas for next year!!

For the stuffing I softened onions and celery with a ton of butter in a pan until they got clear, and then I added fresh thyme and sage, salt and lots of pepper, and dried savory. I melted some more butter in with it and tossed it with the breadcrumbs. I put it in the turkey just like that, but or the stuff in the crock pot I added 2 cups of chicken stock.

I wish I had added garlic! Apples, not so much. My mom had ruined stuffing for me for years by putting loads of nuts and cranberries and raisins. I like savory stuffing!
