Holy fuck. The worst! The Hip almost single handedly ended that relationship. It is so unfortunate.

Gord Downie is 100% insane.
Saw him at Folk Fest a few years ago under the name "Gord Downie & The Country of Miracles" and it was just a no-holds-barred crazy old man rant fest. The music was fun though.

I can't think of a single time in my life that I've just, like, held a fucking American flag in my hands. Are you guys required to carry your flag in your back pocket at all times or something?

Walking around without a flag is like driving around without insurance up here

Totally agree on the insane. Disagree on the music. I was stoked to see him and Ben Harper in the same night, was reaaaally disappointed with Downie. gave him a chance to redeem himself at Coachella last year, he did better. He didn't talk so much between songs. Made the event much more enjoyable.

I am at least 60% sure the girl right on the fence on the far left of the picture is one of the girls I went with! Odd, because I remember standing stage left, but I can't remember if I watched that set with the others or not. I may or may not have had my Alberta flag out at that point.
Also, shaxspear, or whomever posted Soda, that is one of my all time favorite songs. And none of my friends seem to know of it. Can we be best friends?

From what I've seen in this thread, it sounds like it's a pretty close race. However, don't underestimate South Carolina pride. (Though honestly, it's probably more Clemson and USC flags than actual South Carolina flags. Clemson and USC is the Israel and Palestine of South Carolina.

Have you ever gone to a music festival in a foreign country?
(I have never brought a flag with me, but you see where I'm coming from)

Still wouldn't bring a flag.
Well, except for a Sounders flag.
Duh.

You see, Canada is more of a team than a real country.
America owns our team, btw.
