In all seriousness, that was super fucked up. Was the kid trying to keep the ball from Hazard? Absolutely. But come on, don't be an idiot.

I read the ball boy was trying to keep the ball from the offending child kicker, before I watched the video, so I was really confused why a ball boy would do such a thing.
Then I watched the video, over and over, and it looks to me like the ball boy had his back to the player while he was bending over to pick up the ball. Hazard (pretty ironic name) went through the ball boy trying to grab the ball, knocking the kid over, and the kid fell on top of the ball. I cannot blame the kid for anything that happened after that. If you've ever been attacked from behind, your first instinct is to cover up in ball to avoid giving your attacker free reign on your face or stomach/ribs.
The ball boy never intended to keep the ball from the soccer player, in my opinion, it was a survival tactic at that point. He's a little kid who got thrown down on the ground by someone much larger than him. It was bad luck he happened to land on the ball while he was curling up in defense mode. He got kicked because of it.
There are several different angles here, and at 1:43 is when Hazard basically laughs at the kid being helped off.

Unlike in other sports where the clock stops when the ball leaves the field of play, the one in soccer remains. The clock is always running. Rarely do the officials add significant time to the clock for throw ins and goal kicks. Mostly they'll tack on additional time for free kicks, injuries and fans running on the pitch. But they don't add anything for minor time wasting situations.
In this situation, Swansea had a 2-0 aggregate lead in a Cup game with like 13 minutes left to play. The ball went out and the ball boy took his time to get to it. Normally, when the ball goes out, ball boys run to the ball and quickly toss it to the keeper. What the boy did here was let the ball roll to the wall, bounce back and wait for it to come to a complete stop, then cradle it. Why? His team was winning, he was taking his time and he was having a little fuck you moment to the Chelsea squad - and quite frankly, who can blame him? Fuck Chelsea. This sort of thing happens from time to time. It's not uncommon for a ball boy (or even fans) to mess with the opposing team - especially when you're an underdog going head to head with one of the biggest teams in the world.
Hazard was clearly frustrated that the boy chose to let the ball stop - and was showing no urgency in getting the ball. He lost his head. Inexcusable. He deserves maximum punishment.

The kicker is it wasn't even his ball. It was a goal kick.

This story isn't receiving much attention in the United States yet, but it's so disappointingly upsetting. I don't really understand how they could fix all the matches, but it certainly changes my perspective on the EPL (and other leagues) over those years.

Way to start off the hexagonal USA....
Didn't get to watch it because it was on BeIn Sport but that just sucks. Also, there are rumblings that Seattle may host the home qualifier against Honduras in June. That would be soooooo rad!

AWWWWWW SHIT!!!!!
Mah fuckas we back!!!!
Along with the two huge signings of designated player Shalrie Joseph and Djimi Traore, it sounds like we are literally a few signatures away from one of the biggest signings in Sounders' history. With a reported $4-4.9 million dollar transer fee and a guaranteed $2.5 million a year salary (plus goal and tournament bonuses) for 3 years, the Sounders look to be acquiring Nigerian national striker Obafemi Martins, that currently plays for Spanish La Liga club Levante, and has played for teams in the English Premier League, Bundesliga, and Russian Premier League. If this goes through it has the potential to make the Sounders a ridiculously scary threat this season. I'm pissing my pants with excitement over here.

Oh yea dude we're going sooner than later. I was going to say we should go to the home opener this Saturday, but my buddy already bought me a ticket. It's easy to find them day of game for $20-25 so it shouldn't be a problem to go whenever we want.

From what I am reading Obafemi Martins is the shit. I admit that I didn't have a clue who he was before the rumors were circulating. Youtube videos and articles about him have got me stoked.

Not trying to be a hater, but this is a prime example of why I have a hard time embracing the MLS... The fact that a player like Obafemi Martins is considered a big deal is enough for me to say, 'nah, I'm good.'
Admittedly, if I lived in a town that had a MLS team I might look at things a tad differently. But I don't, so the thought of getting excited about him just makes me laugh.
I am happy that you guys are stoked, though.
