Good timing, spent a lot of time convincing Snorlax she needs to watch Arrested Development and Curb Your Enthusiasm

Uhh hell yes she does. Curb is my favorite TV show.
I love Dexter, but season 4 was dragging a bit, and cbat says 5 is even worse. I'm worried that it's not going to revive itself.

There's just so much more Curb, so many more episodes to reference, so many more moments of Larry David brilliance. If AD had run for five more seasons it would be the best ever. It died too young.

While at my parents for the holidays they were in the middle of a Dexter Murder-a-thon and I just kept watching for the absolute absurdness of this show.
-Check his wife's acting. Everytime it is the best part of the show cuz she is the WORST. She has no idea how to do her job. Awesome. -Also, his relationship serves a nothing more than a contrived gimmick to be like "Wow a psychopath with a family, how dis shit gonna play?". Everytime his wife talks about him it's like she has just seen him for five seconds the day before for the first time ever. It is so funny (and it's not done like this because Dexter is "Closed off", it's done like this because the writers could give a fuck about the relationship, they've already done there work by saying he has one. Boom. Done. -Stalk, Inject, Saran Wrap, Stab, Chop, and Dump. Every single show, never changing, almost zero hic cups (oh yeah I forgot that's because he is so boring thorough. -The characters are so ONE DIMENSIONAL, in fact I believe they maybe started as 2 dimensional, and regressed to one dimensional along the way (like any good tv show should do). -Even the bad guys are beyond one dimensional. Jimmy Smits goes from zero killing to always wanting to kill, cuz he mad, and killing people is bad so that is how we know he is for sure a real deal bad guy. Fair enough. People like that don't get to be people like that and get to be people who make good enough decisions all along the way in the other 99% of their lives. Dude got mad a some point in his life I'm sure. -The show just treats its audience like the biggest dummies in the world. All moral ramifications are circumvented because every one who is killed is like a child raping serial killer who also stomps on kittens (this is how we know they are bad). By the way, Miami is just filled to the brim with an endless supply of child raping serial killers who also stomp on kittens. LOCK YOUR FUCKING DOORS AND STAY INSIDE. More than you can shake a stick at. -BOOOOOOO Dexter

Dexter is pretty good. The thing that pissed me off about Season 4 is that there were SOOOOOOOOOO MANY flashes of his father giving him advice. Like seriously, we get it, his father doesn't fucking approve, get on with it.
Season 5 was solid, but I fear that the formula is getting too stale. Dexter kills people, Dexter wants to kill another serial killer, someone gets in the way, Dexter befriends that person, Dexter trusts that person, That person finds out about Dexter, that person dies, Dexter kills original serial killer. Throw in Deb fucking the serial killer at some point, Batista/LaGuerta being huge stereotypes and Masuka being hilarious, and you've got yourself a season.
All of that with no spoilers. I'm almost proud of myself.
