By the way, the motto of Hollywood Market? "Happiness is Spoken Here".

More of a reflection on how awesome it was living across from her rather than sadness. Last Halloween, a friend and I walked over to buy a pack of smokes right before she closed. Poor thing was so frazzled due to people walking in wearing masks and costumes that she asked us if we could stay with her and call her a cab to get home because she couldn't remember the number for them.

She was so well known in Boise that as I was trying to give the address for the store, when I mentioned that it was Hollywood Market the dispatcher just said, "Oh! This is for Margarett, be right there!". Sure enough, two minutes later the cabby was there for her.

That's awesome! And, since it's Boise it's believable!

Local treasures like these are always a wonderful thing. Although I've never been to Boise aside from passing through once, I grew up in a small town, and so I think understand pretty well exactly who she was in Boise as a result.

I have no doubt she'll be missed.

I know there is a youtube thread somewhere, but my 45 seconds of searching turned up nothing. I just wanted to post these videos of Bon Iver from the Colbert Report, I know some of it was blocked in Canada on the internet.

I can't wait to see him, even more so now.

EDIT: I also found this article to be a really interesting read, if you like Bon Iver

Sorry to brag, but I was fukin thar. And that rendition of Skinny Love was even more intense in person.

Also, watching these videos was funny as I was thinking to myself, "I don't remember Justin being a left-handed guitarist," then realizing the videos were all mirrored when I saw the TV14 symbol bein' all backwards.

I love you, man.

But for real, what is a pony? Besides a small horse.

That is really sweet. It is nice to have a community because of people like Margarett.

I'd like to report that
A) you are all awesome, beautiful people
B) Calgary is finally getting some decent weather
C) The yellow hat will rock again. I ordered the wire to repair it, it will be here on the 8th.
D) Two other hats will join the yellow one in my collection. So I will be able to share the hat-glowing-goodness at Sasquatch 2012 (I assume you're ALL going to be there...)

Yup I snuck a small horse into the bar. Weeooo.

It's smaller than a Mickey, which is what you guys call a pint I think. It probably was about 10 ounces.

Haha, I watched Calgary first, immediately I was like, " Nope, not that many left handed players is possible, although that would be indie as fuck". If you watched Skinny Love first I can definitively see the confusion...but wait , weren't you there? You should no he is not left handed.

I was about to say a pony is just a made up measurment that some Canadians use for mini mickeys (they are 7oz I think) and then I realized that a pony is a small horse, and a pony is a small mickey. There are also pony kegs, which are kegs that are about half the size.

All this time I thought drunks just liked horses.

I think drunks do like horses. It's gotta be something in the alcohol. Maybe I'm just a bit drunk right now. Who knows?
