If I weren't on my phone I'd post that YouTube of Louis CK on Conan talking about people taking technology for granted. Anyone want to be credited with the assist?

I know there is a youtube thread somewhere, but my 45 seconds of searching turned up nothing. I just wanted to post these videos of Bon Iver from the Colbert Report, I know some of it was blocked in Canada on the internet.
I can't wait to see him, even more so now.
EDIT: I also found this article to be a really interesting read, if you like Bon Iver

Those videos are absolutely wonderful. I need to catch him/them live sooo bad. Probably won't be able to see him this fall so I'll cross my fingers for a Coachella appearance.
Oh, and Sam Beam should really take notes from Justin on how to expand your music without sounding like a total douchebag.

I didn't see enough of it to comment on his Sasquatch set, but I've enjoyed every Iron & Wine album more than the last, and I think he's a paragon of how to move from lo-fi acoustic recordings to large and diverse productions. He obviously has a focus on arrangements and sounds which is tethered perfectly with his songwriting skills. This is opposed to, say, Devendra Banhart whose full band efforts usually sound horribly conventional and derivative.
But I think Bon Iver has made an excellent transition as well.
I'm stunned that people objected so strongly to Iron & Wine's Sasquatch set. I thought they sounded fucking fantastic.
I agree. Normally I'm more into conventional music structure. So jamming and that kind is not my thing. But I love Iron and Wine and I thought everything that they played was just beautiful.

I enjoyed Iron and Wine's set, quite a bit. I just wasn't really expecting a jam session. So, while I didn't dislike it or anything, I was just... kind of let down. The only reason I was let down was because of my own expectations, which I should have known better, but it still happened. Regardless, I still love Iron and Wine.

I think I poured about half of the pony of vodka I snuck in into this sprite I'm trying to finish, and I'd like to take this opportunity to say that you're all a bunch of good-looking people, and this is a really long sentence and I love you all and the only reason this is spelled correctly is because I'm really smart and so is my phone.

So in Boise I live directly across the street from one, if not THE, oldest shop in town. This lady, Margarett Lawrence, owned the store called Hollywood Market and had been working 7 days a week for as long as Boise can remember.
She had gotten in trouble quite a bit as she got older, having sold alcohol to pretty much every minor within a 30 mile radius when they presented "IDs" which were just pieces of paper they made in MS Paint but that never got her indomitable spirit down. The straw that broke the liquor board's back was when she was selling cans of Mikes Hard Lemonade to middleschoolers because she had no idea there was booze in it. Every day I would walk over just to buy a can of green tea and every single fucking time she would say as soon as I walked in, "I like you shirt, honey!".
Well the state somehow got involved with her a month or so back and basically declared her incompetent and forced her into a home. It did not take long for her to succumb and head towards the light, which proves in my mind that her working that store every day is what kept her alive to the age of 90fucking5.
She passed on Wednesday, and there is already a little shrine out front of the store and a candlelight vigil planned for this weekend in her honor. I'm really glad that my drunken self decided to take part of the sign for Hollywood once it blew off the roof a few weeks after the bank took over the store. I now possess a legit piece of Boise history and will treasure it; even if it does only say "Hollywoo Markt"
RIP Margarett, I hope you're serving alcohol to all the minors in heaven.
