To be honest, sometimes I don't play just because I'm being lazy. It really does take some damn effort.

Well fuck, I guess that settles it. This will be the first Zelda game since the one for the SNES that I don't end up playing.
...and please, no video game dork outrage over my lack of love for A Link to the Past. I've heard it all before.

A link to the Past is oddly polarizing for some reason. Either you love it or you hate it.
I've played about 50% of the Zelda games over the years, but since I don't own any current consoles except a DS (which isn't even current anymore), I don't really have many chances to play Zelda games. I generally enjoy them, with the exception of The Adventure of Link (or whatever the 2nd, side-scrolling one was called). I hated that one.
Playing a not-so-new Final Fantasy game on the DS right now (Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light) and it's kind of interesting, but I'm not feeling nearly as drawn in as with other games like FF4, FF6, and FF7.

Let's see, I've done...six temples I think? I'm not sure how close to the end I am, but I would guess I've got at least 10-15 more hours. |
|
Beautiful, I've been able to gather a couple hours of free time today too, so I'm going to be on that. My friend mentioned a "Silent Realm" that I'd love. Gotten to that yet?
And I'm actually a fan of the sword work (and I need a work out). There's a lot more strategy to Dr. Garbanzohting enemies then just bashing B to swipe the sword constantly. It's given' it a lot more depth, especially since a lot of the enemies study your moves and you have to trick them and do something unexpected.

...and what of The Wind Waker, Drew? I think that was my least favorite zelda game.
Gramma: I wouldn't let the motion controls be a major deciding factor in the purchase of this game. There are a few minor annoyances in the combat, but with skill it gets easier. You just need to be sitting upright and reasonably close to the wiimote sensor...and not laying on a couch across the room. Besides, the story and design are beautifully done. Particularly the dungeons look amazing and some of the gadgets you aquire go great with the motion controls. Bottom line is you'd be missing out on one of the better Zelda games.

I'm still so jealous of all of y'all playing Skyward Sword. Mah boy actually went out and bought it for me for my birthday but then a week before we realized that out tv had totally crapped out. So then he did a last minute exchange for the last one of these left in our city!

I've been playing OOT on this baby and it is so fun. The replay value of it is just the best. They've also changed a lot of the graphics (made them smoother, etc) to go with the 3D element and it looks great. I don't use the 3D that much during actual gameplay 'cause I find that I move it around too much. For cut-scenes it's awesome though.
I wasn't going to buy myself a 3DS 'cause I still use my old one all the time but with all the games that I want in the next year being pretty much 3D exclusive I'm really glad I have one now! Plus it would have been torturous to have Skyward Sword and not be able to play it.

Yeah, I wanted it so bad when I saw it but they're selling out so fast everywhere that I really didn't expect it! I think some bodily harm may have been threatened.
