Does anyone know if you have a VIP box do you get the lanyards and access to the cliff house? I know the tickets are somewhat different than an actual superticket.

Since they change things every year, I can only guess.
Yes, you get a lanyard and access to the cliffhouse. I went there last year and they had an ok bbq and shade, but that was about it. I visited 2 of the VIP boxes and the only one I thought was cool was the main stage, because you were actually above the stage. I watched the bands set up. It was fun seeing MGMT from that vantage.

I mean the actual VIP boxes that have like 10 seats per box back by the soundboard. They are technically VIP but I know they get tickets for every show that comes to the gorge. They are usually leased by the sponsors like Microsoft, Honey Bucket, etc.
The main reason I would like VIP though is to access the platform on the side of the mainstage so I dont have to wait all day at the mainstage to be close and have a good spot. I'm just not sure if the VIP box holders receive lanyards or its seperate and their vip only grants them access to the wait staff and seating?

Oh, sorry, I know what you are talking about now. I have no info on those. I have never sat there. At Sasquatch there really is little or no advantage to those. I'm not sure if you get the VIP lanyard or not.

Those boxes are for season ticket holders if I'm not mistaken.

Yes they are for season ticket holders but ticket brokers split up the seats and sell them, I was just curious because they had a VIP 4 day pass listed on ebay for $360 but I Dr. Garbanzoure its just for a VIP box seat.
Anyways I contacted Live Nation and they said:
Quote:| Thanks for your email. VIP Box-holders do not get access to the viewing platforms nor do they receive the laminates/wristbands to get them access to these areas. They are only accessible by purchasing our VIP Supertickets. Please let me know if you need any more info or would like to purchase the VIP Supertickets. |

So its not worth it either way :/ I really would love to have the side stage access to the two big stages though but its not worth $2500

You do get more than that, but with everything I still don't think it is worth it.

I know I've been guilty of talking about that other festival in the past, so maybe I'm not exactly the right person to get into this, but I'm so fucking over people coming to this board and talking shit about how much better bonnaroo does it than sasquatch. You sound like a douche.
'blah blah blah, better beer, blah blah blah music is played till 5 in the morning, blah blah blah their campsites are cooler and you get way neater stuff for their VIP packages.'
there's an entire website dedicated to bonnaroo, if you wanna go over there and suck on bonnaroo's dick, go for it. -- here's the link assholes: http://www.inforoo.com
(And Lou, this rant really isn't directed at you, just people who come to this site and say similar things as you - and we get them A LOT. Besides I know you know about inforoo, because you posted the same things over there in the 'Sasquatch 2011 thread' as you have here.)

The problem with message boards is no one can stand anyone else stating an opinion. That's all it is and it only means something to the person stating it. I have been to all the major fests. They all have their own positives and negative. I like Sasquatch probably the most. I have notice that the management seem to listen to what people are saying. So listing ideas for them on here is a good way to get those things as part of this fest. I've been on the Inforoo site for four plus years. I made a lot of friends there, but I deleted my account this week. The site has gotten away from it former friendly nature. Too many people just attacking others for saying something they don't agree with. These boards need to make a change and be more welcoming or they will fade away. This is not the most in your face board, but it's fairly close. Hope that can change. I will give it some time and see. I think the members of this board should organize some kind of meet up at the fest. Makes it a lot harder to go after people when you can put a real face to the board name. Something to think about.
