Does anyone know if the medical tents are staffed with volunteers? I sent an email to the general Sasquatch account a few weeks ago and haven't heard back. I'm a nurse licensed in Oregon and Washington and would love to volunteer in exchange for a ticket if at all possible.

I can fix slot machines. Maybe they'll give me a free ticket for that.
Edit: Sorry, being a dick is sometimes a knee-jerk reaction. Nearly 100% of the staff are locals.

But can you "fix" slot machines?
ssummerhays, I meant to reply to this earlier, but I wanted to see if anyone else had insight. I don't know shit, but to the best of my knowledge, LiveNation controls all the hirings and firings of event staff. I've never heard of volunteer medical staff, but if you were allowed to volunteer, you wouldn't be watching your favorite bands?
Check with LiveNation.

Well, topspin, I've been to numerous music festivals with volunteer medical staff. You commit to several hours per day and the rest of your time is yours to do with as you wish. It makes a lot of sense for everyone. Festival organizers don't have to pay for some of the most expensive staff, people with needed skills get in for free, and people like you have someone to take care of them when they overindulge and can't even see straight (and so do the people with real medical emergencies).
Thanks, know ID yuh. I'll touch base with LiveNation.

ssummerhays, please let us know the outcome when livenation contacts you back. I sincerely hope they let you volunteer your services in exchange for a ticket, but i wasn't kidding when I said MOST ALL the staff are locals. even the moses lake high school football team will be wearing jerseys and selling shitty food.
And thank you for being willing to take care of people who need it when their good time goes bad.

The venue hires medical staff in the area to work the venue. I'm sure they will prob have a few rigs on sight for rolls. Don't think this will be a volunteer style event. I have been to the Gorge several times and talked to the medical staff before and they are not even allowed to give you an allergy pill on site. They said they would have to roll you and the hospital could give you medication once in the confines of a facility. A lot different than how we do this down here in Cali.
