True, the math holds up. And I don't even care about everyone in the party paying for camping because that is how it works at most festivals.

But we paid $185 knowing the full lineup, not just one band.
That's a pretty big deal to a lot of people, especially people not from the Pacific Northwest.

Haha, the post was in response to parenthesees actually. Personally, an extra $2.50/day is much better then I expected.

Early birds went on sale last year with only Pavement announced.

Didn't we also pay $185 when we only new Pavement was playing, too though?

If it's like last year, the early bird price will remain the same until February 9th, two days after the full line-up is announced. I imagine with this price jump that early-bird tickets won't sell out sooner then that...So I wouldn't worry about waiting until then.

I really do need to read every single other post before I post myself. Either that, or maybe we did literally post at the same time.

Riiight. For some reason I was thinking that the price would change when the full lineup was announced, in which case the pricing situation would not be comparable to last years.

But yeah, it's definitely the same proportionally. Still a lot of cheddah though :o

You paid $185 for one less day + let's say $25 each for camping if you had a car of 4.... that's $70/day

This year is 4 days and let's take the average which is $290... that's $72.50/day.

I guarantee you it's not going to be a full day on Friday like it is on Saturday or Sunday (Monday isn’t even really a full day). It’s a Friday “Event,” so there will probably only be a few bands playing. You can’t really divide the total cost by the number of days - it’s misleading.

I have a feeling though that the bands on Friday will be "bigger" than the rest of the days though so that the price evens out. That's the way it works with most festivals.

Who's bitching and moaning? I merely pointed out that not every day should not have an equal valuation.
