Sorry I can't be assed reading all of this thread so excuse me if this has all been said before. I've been for the past 2 years and a couple of tips for newbies.
Most importantly, weed related:
1. There are occasional cops that wander the camping section. I almost got busted 2 years ago chopping up a big bowl when 4 cops wandered past. Same goes for in the venue itself, although I think they're security guards, not cops. I had a security guard try and bust me for smoking a doob in the venue last year, but I told him staight faced that it was tobacco and he left me alone.
2. Security at the main entrance is pretty thorough. They have previously searched my cigarette pack looking for doobs, no kidding. If you smuggle alcohol, get creative. They search bags pretty well. If anyone expects another Pemberton you're in for a big surprise.
3. The walk to the venue from the campground is pretty long so take enough supplies for the entire day. Also, make sure you remember an easy way to find your tent before you leave. It is crazy hard to find again at night. Camp near someone with a massive, distinctive flag. There are a fair few.
4. Don't expect much sleep. The camp ground parties all night, so plan for a big party and noise til 6am. If you want to sleep, don't forget earplugs and a pillow (or 2)!
5. If you see a washed up drunken Aussie wandering about, say hi! And offer me a doob!

See you there!

One more thing, despite the hot weather that's forecast, it will get really cold at night. Unless you plan on moshing your little head off, bring a blanket +/or warm clothes.

Can someone please help with my situtation?

Car 1 and Car 2 are leaving for Sasquatch together

Car 1: Has a camping pass
Car 2: No camping pass, they are tenting with us

Does anyone know if :

A) You can leave your car at the parking field?
B) If no, where can Car 2 leave their car that is in some sort of close proximity?

Thank you

Dude, here's a quote from a different post on this site about multiple cars:

"I emailed the gorgeinfo email address and got this response to my question:

"there is an over flow lot that cars can be parked at for $25 for the weekend or $10 a day. it is best and less confusing if you are all together when arriving to the campsite"

So, they are implying that we can have that many people in a premium spot...but just not two cars...so we were hoping to drop all the gear off, and then park on of the cars somewhere for the weekend.

On the main sasquatch website it clearly states that Reg camping is 4 people/car/site....but the Premium camping is way less clear."

Hope this helps.

Hey, sorry if this has been asked already but are there usually alot of people selling tickets down there, and if so, are they gouging the price? me an my buddy are headed down tomorrow with some friends with zerooo tickets. we have camping passes and our friends have tickets so if it works out thats sweet and if not we can party. But we've been scoping online and we have passed up 3 day passes but will we find any reasonable tickets there?

hey how easy is it to find shrooms? i went last year but wasnt interested in anything beyond weed at that time which was in abudance so there wasnt much of a problem. however i heard about a major bust last year over 13 pounds of shrooms confiscated http://www.kval.com/news/local/19301369.html so im wondering if that will scare people away from bringing em this year. i would have brought some but my dealer ran out, so it looks like getting at the camp site is my only option. im just worried about availability/safety.

thinking of going to sasquatch for 2010 and just wanting to know a bit more info. first, whats the difference between premium and regular camping? is it worth it? whats it like getting alcohol into the venue? i heard somewhere that you get wristbands to be able to drink? is this true? not being of age in the US this poses a bit of a problem if i cant bring any in. any advice for someone who's never been to a music festival of any sort? Thanks

Premium is typically if you want some sort of quiet at night, possible showers, and working toilets. Although by day 3, you can usually forget this. It's worth it if that's what you care for. I don't believe the Gorge allows you to take alcohol in, they do bag checks, because they see it as taking away from their huge money maker.

You aren't of age, so you can be kicked out and/or turned over to the police if caught with it. But that's up to the person catching you and whether or not they decide to just turn the other way. But they do watch for wristbands and I have seen people get thrown out.

I will note this, why is it people have to be on some substance to enjoy a concert? There's a reason Live Nation jacks up prices for alcohol. Not just to make money, but to ween people off the idea. I went to Metallica at Key Arena last year, no alcohol was sold. NO PROBLEMS. Imagine that. It was a test run for the future according to a friend who talked to the manager from the arena at a concert industry event this year. Believe it or not, venues don't like having to baby sit a bunch of drunk assholes.

using this same logic live nation is obviously "weening" people from water as they charge 3$ a bottle

now, if i wanted to go to a concert sober i'd check out where miley cyrus was heading

as for underage drinking, unless you have a fake or get a wristband somehow your most likely going to get shit if seen drinking
As for drinking...
get a couple of flasks and gooch it, even if they know you have it, they are not going to give you a hassle as long as u act cool. Remember that the gorge hires out there own security for the weekend of SASQ so they do there own thing. Most of them are pretty cool ass people just there to have a good time also.

o and if u are kind of hesitant on coming, don't be, its the best weekend of the year IMO

it'll probably be semi easy to find a carpool coming down from seattle if you have money or camping passes to offer in exchange for a ride. just wait till people make plans and post on here or craigslist that seems to be successful.

you should probably be able to find some car pools, and I think there was a bus in the past that has done the seattle-vantage trip? not sure though?

I actually looked into the exact same thing last year and came up empty. Although I don't think it would be to hard to hitch a ride that far from someone else going to the festival (a lot of people stop off there on the way through and I'm sure you could arrange something).
