Organization is crap, true. However, in terms of moving from stage to stage Sasquatch is much easier than Bonnarroo, in my opinion. You don't have to watch the end of the previous set like a vulture and swoop in riot-style as they leave the stage, then wait 40 minutes for the band you want to see to come on. It is possible to arrive during a set and still be able to get a decent (not great, but decent) view of the stage.

That's awesome fantastic news. I don't typically do the rush and wait at Roo unless it's someone I really, really want to see or I'm trying to get into a pit for a What stage show. Really looking forward to a more laid-back atmosphere at Sasquatch (and the scenery).

I waited 7 hours in line to get into Roo '07. Others years I've waited between 4 and 5 hours. Last summer I actually only waited a half hour and I have no idea how that happened.

Fuckin' right. Thank god. The wristband line would have been my greatest frustration of last year if me and Stormy and Pea hadn't ended up running into dontoro and getting drunk.
Foxy, I forget -- you're going to be there this year, right?

I went to the Roo last Summer and was confused when people talked about how long the lines were, the longest I waited to get in was maybe an hour. Guess I got lucky. The wristbands look like they will be mailed out this year, so that is a dodged-bullet. It's really hit-or-miss about the line to enter Sasquatch but I've been to 9 Sasquatches and the longest I've ever waited to get into the festival is an hour and a half.

The car line is a total crapshoot, but I've never waited much over an hour. Last year the line out to the road was flying, and then we got to a spot where they split us into 9ish lines and said get tickets out for checking. At this point I had to pee so I ran to a Honey Bucket as fast as I could and came back to find we hadn't moved at all. A few more minutes pass and others go pee, we still don't move. We were in the exact same place for ~30 minutes and then things just started moving fine again. It was like all of the staff took a lunch break at once or something.
As far as setting up in the dark, I do it almost every year and it's not so bad. You can use your car's headlights to help as well as headlamps/flashlights. Not as easy as in the daylight, and you'll probably end up leaving the pegs or something in the grass (it can be a bit long and hide little things pretty well at night) but you'll find them in the morning.

JAVIER!!!!!!!!!!!! |
|
Javier took a 30 minute break to bang a supermodel, base jump off the gorge, feed a stray dog, adopt an orphan child and teach him how to ride his motorcycle. But not before crafting a makeshift helmet out of loose twigs and cow patties; because if there's one thing Javier takes seriously, it's motorcycle safety.
