Did I not do that with extreme -- even uncharacteristic -- respectfulness? You're seriously going to bail because of that? Is your shift key broken or something?

Jesus.

I didn't see that coming. I thought you were very polite this time around Gramma.

Well, I'm going to address him with a little more respect than some doofy twenty-two year old asshole who makes a point of pride out of producing the most possible spelling errors. I've been waiting a long time for a wizened old hippie to join our ranks -- that's something this board is definitely missing (this is an opinion I stole from someone else, but still).

It's not like danl46 gets a pass just because he's older than us. EXACTLY the opposite. Clearly he wants to be treated just like any one of the rest of us, and that includes being encouraged to type like a grown-up.

For fuck's sake, if Stormy started typing like that she'd get just as much shit about it from me as do daver or cbats, and I'm MARRIED to her. The fuck, I do say.

I don't see how that is a response to what we're talking about. As many of us have said in no uncertain terms: nobody gives a single shit about your age. It has no bearing on our opinion of you whatsoever.

If you've gotten to be sixty-whatever years old and have truthfully and legitimately never learned how to type, fine. But if you're going to be all reactionary about something like that politely-worded-in-the-extreme post that I made, then not fine.

Dig it.

I wonder if it came off condescending because it was so uncharacteristically polite.

Is that what it is? Anyone else care to weigh in on this?

I say no way. danl46 hasn't been here long enough to pick up on something like the finer points of my mood swings to the extent that he can read something I intended to be utterly respectful as 'out of character' and/or condescending. Shit, he's hardly ventured outside of this thread, and even here I have been extremely friendly to him.

I think he just takes exception to the request, and if that's the case then I just don't feel too bad about it. At all.

Since Know left, yeah you are. In fact you might even be a little older than Know.
