This board has seemed pretty small and slow (in terms of traffic) for most of the time I've been on it, and as far as I can tell, I'm the only poster who's been threatened with any sort of "administrative action." Which I guess makes this request kind of awkward, but would the mods please consider exercising their banning abilities?
I don't advocate sending users away for general rudeness, because (a) obviously I would be out of here first, (b) I think a little "tough love" here and there keeps the threads on topic, and (c) it's the internet: it comes with the territory.
So while we've had some ridiculous posters, and while I generally don't object too vehemently to ridiculous shit, it looks like we have our first legitimate troll, which was novel until it made keeping track of the threads difficult. Also, the pictures are just stupid. And if these arguments don't sway you, can we all agree that homophobic content is pretty universally objectionable?
I know, I know: "Don't feed the troll," and here I am making a thread providing all the desired attention. But I thought I'd at least make an effort to see if anyone (Dustin? quartermass?) was still keeping track of things. I expect you guys to have lives, of course, and even as I'm typing this I'm realizing how truly fucking sad my life is, but maybe a little maintenance now and then would be healthy. And if you guys find that keeping track of every obnoxious poster on the board is too much of a hassle -- fully legitimate -- then maybe making another poster a moderator with banning/censoring powers isn't such a bad idea. (I nominate myself.)

Quartermass. I would totally nominate Interstate8 as admin. He's on here quite a bit. and as he can be prickish to some at times I think he's bang on on a lot of opinions, and calls it like he sees it. That is all.

I recently had another reasonable request for a new admin and I looked into it and unfortunately the creator of the board looks to be the only one who can make people admins. I did e-mail him and never heard back, but I will e-mail him again as it is important to add more help as the community grows. Thanks for caring so much for the forum.
