 What Sasquatch Needs
« Thread Started on Feb 11, 2008, 6:15pm »

Two things I think The Gorge and/or Sasquatch organizers should consider one day. Feel free to add your ideas.

1. Rentable lockers in the venue: Coachella has 'em. Why not The Gorge? As much as I "enjoy" abandoning stuff on the hill when going to the floor or side stage, I'd love to be able to stash my backpack or blanket in a locker. My friends last year worked around this by buying some cheap thrift store blankets and bags that they wouldn't care if they lost.

2. How about Sasquatch blankets or beach towels?: Just think, you have thousands of people sitting on the grassy hill. Why not make some merch money on a blanket or beach towel with a Sasquatch logo and lineup?

1. Clean bathrooms, just because it's near the end of the night, doesn't mean you should just let the bathrooms get trashed.

2. Also, the security needs to be consistant. Last year, the first day we breezed right through and the 2nd day was as if someone brought in heroin. Plus, open up more than 2 lanes when checking bags and tickets.

1. For all of Sasquatch's claim of being "carbon neutral" - what about some recycling bins? The garbage situation was getting sketch-city last year.

you know, that towel idea would probably sell a ton...do they sell ponchos there usually? they could have made a killing in 2006...
i dig the security check suggestion too. i almost completely missed the blakes last year because of that crap!
otherwise, hey, i love the gorge and sasquatch! my excitement is already disproportionate to the knowledge i have of the lineup+the time i have to wait to go

they should also let people go in and out if they are camping (like bonnaroo). the only year that they have ever allowed re-entry was in 2006 after the rain/hail storm that flooded half the campground and totally soaked everyone. it would just be nice to not have to carry stuff around during the day while its hot just because you need something warmer at night because it is so cold.

I wanna say they were allowing reentry last year after the windstorm that delayed everything and took bands off stage.

I was able to go back and grab gear before Interpol took the stage. But I had the VIP pass and slipped in with MTV Canada, so I'm not sure if that made a difference.

It was F cold that night.

Yeah, the locker thing is actually a really good idea. I always just leave my shit sitting on the hill.
