| | convienence fee??? « Thread Started on Feb 23, 2009, 2:17am » | |
is there an extra fee added to the ticket price. I can't remember if there was one last year on the discounted 3 day pass. I am jobless, but EXACTLY 151 dollars dropped from the sky from my tax return. w00t. it seems like a lucky coincidence. i scrounged up the extra few dollars, but i dont really have any more money than that. I'm just wondering if I'm going to have to take a trip to the dollar casino night to try and win the extra few dollars. ha. I'm so broke that i have to stoop that low.

I believe there is a conv fee on top of the ~$154 for a three day pass

So last year I spent $442.90 for two three day passes, and a three night camping pass. I recall the camping pass rape charge as only $3.50, so subtract that and the $100 camping, that leaves $339.40 for two three day festival passes. If I recall correctly, they charged an extra dollar per day going to charity, and since the main page does not state this currently, subtract $6, leaving you $333.40. Divide this number by leaves $166.70 for a festival pass. So you are looking at about a $12 ticketmaster fee.
Then again, I doubt any night will sell out, so you can always skip the ticket master fees at the festival, pay a higher price per day, eliminate one day, and you can then afford it.

if ticketmaster or livenation are the ones selling tickets (which they are) then there is going to be a "convenience" wallet rape charge. i just so happen to have one of my ticket stubs here from last year, it was $4.35/day convenience fee. i have no reason to believe they won't raise this fee, as they have been going nowhere but up in the last year. the presale begins tomorrow at 10am, so we'll know then for sure.

I think you just said the exact same thing I did, including the "rape charge" comment. That's fine though, I don't expect people to read through an entire thread before posting.

hm. i got the money. scrounged it up somehow.. i only have 157.. hopefully that's enough. our economy sucks, and thats why they should LOWER the shit. What I'm hoping is that the ticket sales will not meet their quota or something in the beginning, so they will be forced to add some new! I almost bet it will happen. I've heard some people not too excited and say they aren't going this year... lets just wait and see.

How much cheaper would it be to go to an outlet? I want to buy premier camping this year but I'm afraid it will sell out if I wait until I can get to an outlet on friday.

$12.75 convenience charge for the 3-day pass. $11.05 charge for camping pass $3.40 order processing charge
Plus the US$/CAD$ exchange rate is really shitty right now. I liked it better last year when the Canadian dollar was worth more than the American dollar...

If you go to an outlet and pay cash the "fee" is less plus there is no "handling fee" on top of that. Doesn't hurt that you have you tickets in hand right then and there as well.

I just purchased my tickets online...and at the end of the page (where you buy the camping pass) there was an option that said:
Sasquatch! $28.00 per vehicle.
.....my question is...what is THAT fee for? I thought parking was free....

I think it's for premium parking that allows 11am entry and parking up close to the gates. Last year I saw cars parking and using a different side entrance- it was the same entrance that premiere campers were using. Can anyone else confirm this? It makes for easy and fast ins and outs. By the way, we went to a ticketmaster outlet yesterday thinking we could save on the convenience charges. NOPE, they are charging the same amount $12.75 person plus $6.00 processing fee
So, feel free to buy online....
