 SASQUATCH! 2013 News and Information
« Thread Started on Feb 6, 2013, 8:47pm »

Same as last year. Below is the 2013 tickets and pricing information straight from the official site. Have a question that's not answered there? News you feel is important? Post it here.

2013!

On the heels of a highly successful, critically acclaimed sold-out 2012 festival, Sasquatch! Music Festival is set to return for 2013. The festival will run May 24-27 (Memorial Day Weekend) at The Gorge—the internationally acclaimed concert venue carved in the basalt cliffs high above the Columbia River Gorge in Quincy, WA.

Your 4 day Sasquatch Festival Pass is inclusive of general camping and day parking.

No fees will be added on top except for shipping costs which will be charged per order.

If you choose to upgrade to Premier, Terrace or Bigfoot camping, or Star parking, there will be an additional charge and separate ticket for those options.

The Sasquatch Festival Pass will be a wristband that will be shipped to you in advance of the festival beginning in April 2013.

Wristbands are non-transferable, non exchangeable and cannot be replaced.

Keep your receipt and order confirmation in a safe place, this will help you should you need to contact Ticketmaster regarding your order. When you receive your wristband, keep that very secure and do not tamper with it in anyway.

You will need your wristband to access the camping and parking areas.

Other shit people always ask:

The amount of space you get for camping is generous. There is no set amount of space, but it is more than most festivals offer. You park where you camp, so there is no walking between parking and camping, it's all together.

There is re-entry this year (like last year). The walk between camping and the festival grounds is 2-3 beers depending exactly where you are in the campground.

The schedule comes out late April or early May.

The pre-sale has already started, poke around and you will find the password.

No one knows when it will sell out. In 2011 it took about a week, last year didn't happen until around April. If it sells out, relax. There will be lots of people selling extras closer to the festival. Don't be dumb and pay way over face value.

This is kind of cool. I wonder if there will eventually be an animation for every band on the lineup.

That was awesome weenie. Thanks for sharing.

27,500?? I could have sworn they pushed the attendance up well over 30,000.

Very cool read. I liked the section where he talks about bands blowing up after the scheduling and playing on small stages that don't match their status at the time of the festival. I wonder who this years breakout will be?

Capital Cities, Atlas Genius, Robert Delong, and Youngblood Hawke.

It's all about Dr. Garbanzouring out which band is on a major label and will be pushed on the radio hard.

Youngblood Hawke is on Republic which is a massive record label so they're definitely a good pick.

It took a bit of digging because they're trying to hide it but Capitol Cities is signed to Capitol Records (this is their copyright: "Lazy Hooks, LLC under exclusive license to Capitol Records. ").

Robert Delong is on Glassnote which is a record label that is great at getting their artists radio play but they tend to do it in a semi-grassroots way compared to the brute force that major labels use. They may end up having the staying power but I don't expect them to rule the airwaves by May.

But of course Atlas Genius is the obvious answer. Their debut comes out in like 2 weeks on Warner Bros.

So after doing this why do I get the feeling that Pea has already done this research and I'm over explaining his point?

That interview was fascinating. What I got out of it:

-Snacks is probably reading the board a little bit this time of year to see our responses
-Stormy convinced Snacks to improve wristband procedures
-What The End is playing is actually important
-There are more Canadians than Oregonians at Sasquatch

This song is on track to be the next "Kids" or "Pumped Up Kicks" or whatever else you want to compare it to.
