Funny stuff Partymarty with the margarita comment.

I put beer as my choice as I find beer to be the best "all day" drink. If I start drinking wine or hard alcohol in the afternoon, I will probably be passed out by the time the headliners come on.

We just dumped our bottled water and filed them with vodka. Like some weird science experiment only to find out the really didn't search us in the VIP entrance. My friends snuck in a 12 pack.

I'd be a bit more cautious about sharing tips for sneaking in booze and stuff like that. I am sure someone who runs security reads message boards like this. They may make it so we can't bring anything in if you're not careful.

Just so I'm completely sure about this, when I show up at the campground with a truckbed full of decent tasting canadian beer, they wont be frowning--but if i try to take some into the show theyll be upset. Right?

Are you able to go in and out? Or is it like a once you're in, you're in for the day thing?
I can at least pass for 19 in Canada but I'm going to be hooped for booze in the states.

Tips on my best plan of attack for staying tipsy throughout?

I bought those Reef Flask Sandals last year . They were great until I got caught in the mosh pit at the Pemberton festival . Needless to say , they were never seen or heard from again.

I would think a flask would be the best way to get alcohol in through the gates. $11 for a tall can is expensive, but I would think it would be pretty tough to smuggle more than one tall can through the gate, if even that?

Can't remember if they do a pat down but they definitely search bags. It hasn't stopped me getting booze in but you need a bag with a good hiding spot. Also it pays to make their job easier by coming up with your bag open and take a few things out for them. Makes it look like you aren't hiding anything and they'll be more likely to wave you through.
