There was a Jack Daniels tent? How was I not aware of this? I love Jack Daniels! Was it like $18.75 per drink?

Actually, they had straight-up cocktails for sale in there and the prices weren't too ungodly. Relative to the beer prices, anyway. And if I recall, they poured 'em stiff.

I remember chilling in there with a Jack and Coke while Quasi and Dr. Dog played a couple years back. I'll be pretty bummed if they eliminated it. Maybe they just moved it.

Yeah, it was actually kind of cool. It was kind of roped off so they could check your ID going in. Even if you had a wristband they checked it there and also at the bar when getting drinks. There were places to sit outside and also kind of inside this bar type thing. We often met outside of that as a meeting place with our friends. I don't remember the prices being all that bad as far as getting anything at the gorge goes.

;D Just wanted to let everyone know that our editor's chose Sasquatch! Music Festival as one of the Top Ten Music Festivals of May 2012! This is quite impressive considering the number of music festivals taking place this month. Read about it here: http://www.soundandscene.com/top-ten-music-festivals-this-month.html

Thanks,

COPYCAPIT

Seriously, though, there are nine other festivals happening this month? What, like the Earfuck Festival in Tempe, Arizona? You'll have to summarize that article for me because I don't care.

I wonder how bad the sound bleed between stages will be with the Maine stage in that location. Something tells me there will be lots of pissed off people trying to watch bands at Bigfoot and having some shitty rap beat going on behind them. Thankfully there's only three acts per day there, but still it's a terrible location for a new stage.

I really think you guys are spending way too much time worrying about a tiny rap stage that has 3 acts a day and looks marginally bigger than the "Kokanee acoustic stage". Relax.

It's still a more impressive festival development than the 50-foot shower or that fucking cake.

That fucking cake. The reason we didn't hear The Gash during the Flaming Lips' set. Still somewhat bitter.
