Because I'm getting to be an old bean (I was 18 when Dookie came out) and I need my beauty sleep.

we really should add 'how old were you when Dookie came out?' to the Lurkers Thread.

Well, it does seem to be the age defining album.

Because some people like to sleep. Going from general to premier for me meant going from 1-2 hours of sleep a night to 5-7. You can still walk over to general for all the parties, and then come back and crash whenever you want... and considering the amount of bands/acts that are at the festival during the 4 days, $290 is a bargain unless you're the type that shows up to see one or two bands.

I think it would take a pretty bad experience for me to leave general. Before when regular was 100 and premier was 160 I could see people paying that little bit extra, but now when its $0 or $160 I just cant imagine paying that much extra. As long as you are suffiently drunk/exausted by 1am and have a pair of ear plugs it shouldnt be hard to get to sleep unless you are a pretty light sleeper.

Yeah I think that $290 is one hell of a deal with or without the camping. I stay at Wildhorse rather than Premier camping though. With the group of us going it was only an extra $30 each for the weekend, but I'd pay triple that for a good nights sleep. Party during the day, sleep at night.

What?! Even with caps lock I can't hear you from your hotel. I think you have the bubble bath jets on too loud or can it possibly be that it is only 9pm and the Flaming Lips are drowning you out while you are in bed with a glass of hot milk at your side next to the glass with your old man false teeth you old man you!

Well now you and I are.

This year we will not have people getting self-righteous about their camping choices, and we will not attack each other for camping choices.

EDIT: Take a look at the post above this one for context.

You know I kid I8, the real joke isn't on people who stay in hotels, it's on people who stay in campsites for the pregnant ladies.

I'm just saying that it didn't cost me too much to stay at Wildhorse. I don't think I would have done it for more than $50, but it was way less than that. They make their money off of me buying wild burgers and garlic fries every night.
