You may want to look at rideshare closer to the date to get from Seattle (Myspace had an area for it last year, I created a page here for it this year).
As for tents, oh yeah! I parked my car in premiere camping and set up my tent right next to it. I saw everything from 2 person ultralights to the North Face 8 person types.

I've seen a lot of people hitch. I think it would be a pretty safe bet.

the concept of you camping is kind of weird. i mean, its the coolest thing in the world, but its so much cheaper to camp with other people, since you can split the ticket cost. if you did manage to hitch a ride to the camp area, you'd be saving everybody some money. the only issue is that so many cars will be packed with crap. if you travel light, i'm positive hitching would work out....

When they say no professional cameras, does that mean my Rebel :[?

Can any vets tell me if they've seen people with these kind of cameras or do they try to stop people from entering with these kinds of cameras unless you're with the press

Yes, they try to stop people with those kinds of cameras from coming in with them. But I have seen people in the concert with them that are not press. But I have also seen people get turned away at the gate because they have these cameras, and they have to go and put it back in their cars and wait in line all over again.
I was even told once by the guy that was searching my bag to keep my camera hidden or it could get confiscated and it was a little Canon Powershot SD550.

If you're creative with hiding stuff you can get anything in.
Wear pants or shorts with lots of pockets (ex. cargo shorts) Also always look for the fastest line. 9 times out of 10 they're the ones that do a quick glance into bags and maybe a minor pat down of your sides rather the ones that dig through every nook and cranny of your back and basically a full cavity search.
To avoid thorough bag searches have basically all your visible zippers on your bag wide open so they don't need to feel around your bag and have any large items like sweaters and shoes out of the bag in your hands so when they look in your bag they just see random small items. This helps if you have a hidden compartment that can conseal a SLR camera, camcorder etc.

Also just find the youngest looking person and go in their lane they are usually the most chill. I've never ever had my backpack looked through or even glanced at.

Well, this looks like a good enough thread to drop in on. I'm a Bonnaroo, (Inforoo) regular that is going to give Sasquatch a try this year. Not big on Jam bands, so not real interested in Phish being at Roo. Plus they raised prices in VIP, cut out the food, unless you want to pay 194.00 for six meals. The indy band selection is stellar and I'm hoping some of those crossover to Sasquatch. Everything I hear about Sasquatch is good, so can't wait to see a lineup. I'm from Minnesota and our 10KLF festival took a major crap, in my opinion with two nights of WSP. That being said, Sasquatch will be my only festival this year. One question, when can we expect to see a lineup?

I just read that (about Roo making VIP food separate). I guess that works, IF the food is better because of it. The VIP food is shit at Sasquatch. It was pretty good in 2007 but in 2008, it was lunch meat and cookies. And I'm a vegetarian so I had to make sliced cheese and onion sandwiches.
I also read that Roo allows PAYMENT PLANS for ticket purchases. That's brilliant.

just to let you know. food is not important at sasquatch. for me, its all about seeing how close to death i can come while still remaining on my feet. Last year, it seemed like there was no time to eat.

I agree. For me there was basically no time to eat, except at night when you get back to the camping area. Well I was in the font row all three days, so really I had no choice but not to eat.
