Just do something really ridiculous the first time you meet them to make it less awkward. When I found Shax's campsite at Coachella I snuck up and stole his hat. I was really lucky I guessed right and it was actually him. When I found wonk the second time I just sat down right next to him and waited for him to recognize me. I also did something weird when I found Fox, Pea and crew, but I can't remember what it was.

This.

The only reason I would be nervous would be bacause there's a good chance my girlfriend will be there and she sometimes gets nervous in certain situations so I would feel some sort of 'contact nervous' for her.

I still don't know how to explain to my real life friends that I'm going to see my "internet friends". I kind of brush over how I know all of you.

My worlds started colliding at Coachella though with KY camping with us. Haha, I think we just said "sasquatch" when both of our friend groups asked how we knew each other....that was the only awkward part.

But yeah, don't be nervous. Everyone is great.

Peripheral friends pose a problem sometimes. My buddy Kyle was really drunk when I met people at Bassnectar and he was like "Hey! Internet friends!" and someone asked him what his username was and he said "shitballs43" or something like that. It was funny and he doesn't remember it.

But the bigger issue is balancing time between the people you're going with and internet friends.
