I used to have a ping pong table in my basement which was only used for beer pong. I've won many a drunken tournament.

Played flip cup for the first time last year at Sasquatch. Watched 2 games, then stepped right in and anchored a team to victory. Good times.

Flip cup is awesome- best experience with flip cup is definitely playing in australia in Grade 12 against the aussies and whooping them badly. But that was a long time ago, I doubt I could play as a 4 man team on my own anymore.

I assume everyone knows what kings cup is right? Making it through a couple games of that without falling over on the way to the bathroom is an accomplishment in itself.

Love kings cup- hard to play at Sasquatch though- we rarely have a big enough table, and most people only want to play at night, when it is too dark.

I do have custom printed cards for it though.

Everyone plays with slightly different rules of course- i got my custom deck printed so that the rules are on the cards themselves- it is good for when you play with new people, or people who are not used to your ruleset.

We usually call it sociables, but you basically have a deck of cards and you make a list of rules for each card beforehand. Players take turns drawing cards. Once a card is drawn, the rule or task for that card applies eg.Queen=all girl's drink, 3=categories. If someone screws up a game or task/rule, that person drinks.

Yeah we call it sociables too- I think King's Cup is mostly americans and brits?
No names is awesome, so is no swearing, but my favorite rule is that you take the name of the person across from you at the table. It gets amazingly confusing, especially coupled with the "you always have to speak in the third person" rule

My friends and I are pioneering a new drinking game this weekend.

A "biblical prophecy revealed" talk is coming through Lethbridge, and we are all going to mix highballs and go sit in the crowds and play the armageddon drinking game. Last one standing/who hasn't been kicked out wins.

some solid rule suggestions on that kings wiki page. I like the idea of playing sociables with a full can of beer in the middle, and having everybody stick their cards under the tab of the can to discard. He who cracks the beer must chug it.

Yeah I took that rule after looking up all sorts of rules when I was making my sociables deck. It's a fun rule, but once you're into the game most people "forget" to put their beer under the tab.
