What the fuck is this supposed to mean? You calling my mother and father stuck up assholes bro? Not cool bro.

Hahaha. Oh yah. I'm tossin around parental insults left and right! Really though my son has been playing hockey for 5 years and in my local community the hockey parents are stuck up assholes. I don't own a business and my family doesn't have a big name and I don't donate every moment of my free time to the hockey boosters so I'm not holier than thou like the rest of'em. I'm sure its different everywhere, but here most hockey parents here look at you like a painted turd if you don't meet certain social standards. Or maybe its just me.

A) This sounds like an American hockey issue, but I could be wrong.

B) I was 100% kidding.

C) Maybe it IS just you.

In defence of the Irish dude looking to watch Champions league:

If he is currently traveling or here on a temporary work visa I totally get wanting to catch the game. I've been in similar situations abroard on extended travels. It's not that my love of music died, it's just that all your experiences become temporarily framed in a different context. Going to a foreign music fest AND catching the Champions League final, with your team playing in it, sounds like a pretty cool thing altogether. There is also "the little bit of home" that such a thing can bring too. I remember I was searching high and low to find a place that would show the Flames vs Lightning game seven final when I was abroad ( and really if I was back at home I would most likely not have even have watched it). I had to miss out on going to a pretty cool electronic festival, but when you are living in a context where everything is all of a sudden fun and interesting, because it is new to you (everything is awesome, even crossing the street is different and amazing), getting to see a little bit of home in a foreign land is just another cool experience that will be followed by a whole shit load more garanteed cool experiences down the road until you go home.

Good luck Irish dude. Also, I lived in Cork for a year as part of my travels!

That's only because 48.2% of the board is French-Canadian.

So, back to topic, I emailed the River Shark Pub in George, and it has Fox Sports, so it should be on there. Just getting confirmation...
