Capitalization matters. Spelling matters. Punctuation matters. We're all adults, here. We all make the additional 'effort' to type like adults because we like to feel like we are communicating with other adults.

This is important for a couple of reasons.

1.) if we lower the bar to the point that people don't feel the need to capitalize their sentences then soon the bar will lower itself further to the point that people are no longer using correct punctuation and once that happens people start feeling okay about expressing amusement by typing roflmao and then well u no wut comes after that lol ---------- Basically, we're not idiots; we don't want any idiots, and we don't want this place to start looking like 4chan or your little sister's text message inbox.

2.) The core of regulars here will tell you that this place is something kind of special. It's not really like a lot of message boards. We strive for a modicum of professionalism when we talk about nut jocking and vaginers, because some of us spend a lot of time here and that's how we prefer it.

3.) Asking noobs to type correctly is, to a certain extent, a litmus test. There are rules, and that is one of them. If someone really can't be bothered to show even that tiny amount of courtesy, they're probably a meathead, an asshole, or both. Meatheads and assholes are unwelcome here, and traditionally a meathead or an asshole will quickly show their colors when they are asked to do something that they are not capable of doing.

4.) I am an unabashed grammar nazi, and I am an Admin, and I told you to.
