Don't count on it. Count on party buses with full-on DJ equipment and stacks of speakers. The only way you'll get any sleep in the campground is if you drink yourself to sleep.

When you arrive to park and set up camp, look for boring people and park next to them. It's true that parts of the campground get loud and whacky, but I've had good luck before with quiet neighbors.
I know you didn't ask for my 2 cents on this, but here it is. Imagine leaving the festival grounds after the late night ____ set, having to get to your car, driving in a long, slow moving line of vehicles just trying to get to the highway, then driving that painfully boring stretch of road for 45 minutes to get to your hotel. At this point you'll inevitably pass out, but only for about 6 or 7 hrs, because you have to wake up and make the pilgrimage back to the festival to see the early bands.
Imagine doing this 3 or 4 times.
No thank you. I'd rather walk the 2km back to the campground and get a good drunk on so I can sleep through the noise.
Although the shower would be nice.
That is not entirely correct, since i do stay at hotels during sasquatch,
It's like a 25 min drive to moses lake, you can be showered and in bed by 1 or 1:30AM( earlier if Kol are playing.)
You wake up at 9:00-9:30 am, you can hit Denny's to carb up, hit safeway to get your food for the day. Drive back rested and relaxed for the big day.

So ok, say that you're a Mormon and you actually leave the festival grounds at night completely sober. You're still on the road with all the other people leaving the fest, many of which will probably be following technicolor vapor trails and herds of unicorns back to Moses Lake.
No rock band wants to play in front of a bunch of people standing still, except the National.

^haha
to me it just doesn't make sense to leave the site, but then again I've always camped at concert festivals and am about as accustomed to the noise as one can be.

I was going to do Coachella this year, but I had SOOO many issues getting tickets, that I decided not to go.. I'll probably go one year, but not until they realize they should probably sell the camping with the tickets.
Anyways... I'm super happy to be here, and I can't wait to meet some cool people and have a wicked awesome time. I'm not even sad about Coachella at all.
