I was wondering if anyone was going to pay double to stay at the "west gorge camping for old folks" this year.

I am. There are five of us so it's only $20 extra. I've never stayed there.

My brother and friends stayed there last year and loved it. More than likely where I'll wind up. I'm not big on the Gorge's camping staff.

I've always camped at the Gorge and always loved it until this last year. They got some shit under control, for instance the honey buckets were cleaned more regularly/thoroughly. But we had the worst neighbors I've ever had, guys that were just loud all night, and not in a fun, come party with us way. We just decided to try something new and see if it's as fun.

I can safely say I will never camp at Wildhorse for two reasons.

A. Waiting for a Shuttle - It already sucks waiting in line to get in the venue, but if I had to wait in line to catch a shuttle prior to being allowed to wait in line to enter the venue, I might just lose my mind. I hate waiting though. At the end of the night, guess, what, you get to wait in line again. If you hit it perfectly, you will get back to camp quicker than us regular campers, but I rather enjoy the walk back to regular camping. Again, I would rather spend 20 minutes walking, than even five minutes waiting.

B. Old people. It's cool, you are old. I'm older than many of you, but I like being near the party. It's like going to Burning Man, but staying at a hotel down the road.

To be honest I have the same reservations. But I don't really ever feel like a part of the party scene, because I stay pretty sober at Sasquatch. I'll try it this year and see what happens.

General camping, if for nothing else, is 100% worth staying in just to be able to unzip your tent in the morning and obtain a glimpse into what a post-apocalyptic world full of zombies and decay would look like.

So true. When we woke up Tuesday morning last year our neighbor was on top of his crushed tent. He couldn't find the zipper so he just fell on top of it and fell asleep.

I would never camp anywhere but general camping, and this is coming from a guy who awoke from his tent last year only to find a brown slimy substance that was either puke but more likely diarrhea less that a foot away. We just laid some newspapers over it "Big Daddy" style, and started our day. Great story.

Holy shit, not only do I have the same tent but one year I may have bounced off of my neighbors tent trying to get to mine. so they un-poled it right before they left in the morning. I woke up inside of it like an envelope. exactly like that

Haha that picture was taken of me at the old Getty's Cove campground about 5 years ago. I have no idea what caused the tent to fall over.
