So if someone in my group can only afford (or is only interested in) goin one day (monday), do they have to just drive themselves? hopefully honda provides a whole shitload of those carbon credits if they do!

This is just a huge break from the "have intent to buy a ticket" rule

A detailed response of, "yes."

Camping Saturday night with a Sunday and Monday pass wont be an issue. :D

Maybe you should email them and ask like this person did. I'm not sure about the camp 4 days on a Monday ticket thing.

how hard do you guys think it will be to find camping if i show up saturday in the evening? Is there a possibility that there just won't be anywhere? We're just one, maybe two cars (don't have to park next to each other) and don't need a whole lot of space. I know you guys can't know for sure but is there a chance we literally just won't be able to find anywhere to set up?

No. They will find a spot for you, but it may be in overflow.

you do need some sort of ticket( either day pass or 4 day pass) to get in camping though right? people cant just come camp? or camp and try to buy tickets outside of the stage gate? i know last year people were selling day tickets all up and down the walkway to the entrance. stupid friends didnt get tickets. this seemed to sell out fast for this lineup.

Yes. In order to camp you must have a camping pass, and in order to have a camping pass you must have a festival ticket. This is what they are saying, anyway. What it tells me, though, is that if you show up with out a ticket you are taking a risk. I'll also say that, if you don't have a ticket, you have better odds showing up with a car full of people who do have tickets than ones that don't.

For anyone interested in taking advantage of the normal "buy a ticket near the entrance" thing, I think that phenomenon will be drastically reduced this year by the introduction of wristbands. It will still exist but it will be different.

Maybe someone already said this, but here is what I think. There will be different areas of the campsite, each with different sizes. Say you roll up with 5 people in your group, you get assigned to a campsite that is made for 5 people. If you roll up by yourself, than you get a tiny porter-potty size plot. Does that make sense? Honestly I can't see it being done any other way.

I can. Honestly, that's way too much organization for the Gorge crew. I think it'll be the same as every year - each car gets the same sized plot. Up to you to fit yourself to your spot.

This. I think you're giving the Gorgees way too much credit, vivalacali. The logistics of what you're talking about would be insane. They would need 3 to 4 times as many people directing traffic to different sections of the campground in order to make that a reality.

Even if they did try this, they would have veteran Quatchers parking their cars where ever the hell they feel like anyway.

Guys, there are no camping spots. There is fileds that they rent from the local farmers. It is one big area. When you show up, there will be security guards that will direct you to the next open spot. When you pull up they will try to put you as close to the next guy as you will let them. That is how they pack people in. Have you ever been to a sporting event where they stack park you? It is kind of like that.
