If I go this year, I'll be planning on being there for noon again. Gotta get a prime spot for lineup heckling again.

If the campground does stick with the 5 pm opening time and people show up significantly early (as it sounds like they plan to do) would the campground just open up early so there isn't mass confusion and huge lineups on the road or would they actually turn people away? Has anyone showed up well before noon before? If so, were you let in early or asked to come back later?

pretty sure the hippie bus with the stuffed dog on the roof showed up really really early last year, and they just drove in and parked.

Perhaps this is the wrong thread to post this in, but what's up with the boring nightlife at the camp sites? Last year, everyone was asleep by 11:30, no joke.

Did we just set out site up in the wrong area?

Where does everyone party at night?

wait. WHAT? really? you must have been WAY WAY WAY WAY on the outskirts of the campground.

I could see that being the case maybe on the last night, but even then, that's a stretch.

Uhh were you at Wild Horse or something, catherine? The late night stages were still going on at 11:30, and once those got over the parties raged until 4-5am in the campground. I remember waking up while the sun was rising and still hearing the call of the bro ("woooooooooo!!!!!!") in the not so far off distance.

Maybe that's why, no one was back at 11:30 yet.

My neighbors were up until 4 every night, and middle aged men repeatedly slamming bottles of white wine is quite possibly the greatest form of nightlife

Wasn't at Wild Horse. I do know it was premiere camping with a bitchin' view.

We could see the festival from the site, but our neighbors were deathly quiet every night by 11:30. I didn't get it. In the distance on the last night we heard someone blaring music, so I guess that's where we needed to be.

Aaaaah, you were WAY on the outskirts, that explains it. That music you heard blaring in the distance was everybody else partying till sundown. (not me though, I usually passed out by 1 with a bottle of wine in my hand every night)

i love that being closer to the festival is actually considered 'the outskirts.'

Probably doesn't help you somewhat have to go around the campground to get IN to the campground
