 Thursday Night Camping
« Thread Started on May 18, 2010, 4:04am »

Was just wondering how late we could arrive on friday night and still be let in? My girlfriend works till 5 and me till 7 with about a 3 hour drive. Think we'd be able to get in friday night?

oh yeah, I don't think they ever "close the gates" persay and not let people in. We arrived around 9 last year and the line-up was insane getting into the campground, but people arrived all night long. It wasn't fun setting up in the dark though.

Are we sure the campground is still opening up this year at noon on Friday? I know it still says so on the website, but thought that maybe it was something they hadn't updated yet.

If that is still the plan, it sounds like it could be a major cluster fuck.

5 o'clock seems kind of late for hte campground to open. Sounds like long waits and a lot of people setting up tents in the dark.

I just reread that, and realized that sounds just like every year.

I changed the title of this thread to "Thursday Night Camping," instead of Friday camping. The person who started the thread may indeed be planning on arriving Friday night. If that's the case, you will miss a day's worth of music, and possibly the Foo Dr. Garbanzohters headlining set, depending on how long it takes you to set up camp.

Having the title left as Friday camping is confusing to lurkers (as are the replies). Are you guys really planning on arriving Friday?

good call on the thread title change. if you notice though, this thread was created before the last year's fest.

Haha. Having pretty much read every post on this board's history, when I saw this the other day, I thought, "hmm, I don't remember that thread being started? How did that get past me?"

So no, I didn't realize it was pooped from last year.

Also, the link Peatrick posted above states the campground opens at 5pm Thursday, however I'm a bit skeptical about that time. Why wouldn't they open the campground at noon like they do every year?

If any of you out there ordered Premium Camping, could you please check your ticket, and tell us what time it says the campground opens Thursday? Thank you,

My ticket doesn't say what time the campground opens on Thursday.
It just says Overnight Camping *UPGRADE* '26th - 31st'

Hmm, I'm still banking on noon, not that I would get there that early. I'll shoot for 3:30, meaning I won't get there until 4:30 at the earliest, and if they really don't open until 5, I'll just wait.
