This is my first time going to sasquatch and I was wondering what the general campground and the amphitheater have in the way of -convenience stores - anything useful apart from ice sold here? -hot food - anything remotely healthy? -booze - don't want to run out!
I'm guessing they are all overpriced but it would be good to know what alcohol is available in the amphitheater and how much it costs. Is there a limit to how you can buy or where you can drink? At All Points West in NJ they make you feel like a deviant for wanting to drink a beer and watch a band at the same time.
Thanks!

he convenience store on site has snacky stuff... no booze I don't think, so come prepared or do what we've done in past years and take a drive into town to stock up if you run low...
As for hot food... no it's not even remotely healthy. I'm not even going to sugarcoat it... Bring your own food if you can.
As for booze at the show, there are a few beer gardens... beer and wine are 8-10$ if I remember correctly and you have to stay in the beer garden. What we did last year was sneak in vodka...

As a general rule of thumb, bring everything you need, and only use the general store for ice.
I believe they sell beer at the general store, but if they do, it will sell out quickly, and be horribly overpriced. One year they sold out of cigarettes, and people were offering $20 a pack.
You don't need to stay in the beer garden when drinking at the festival, although I recall that being only during the daylight hours. They give you wrist bands, so you can wander. The prices are around $11.
There will be plenty of illegal vendors at the campground, and on the way to the venue, and some will have healthy food. The legal vendors at the festival serve you seasoned feces on bread, seasoned feces on dough, deep fried feces, and my personal favorite, feces on a stick.

Well, let's see, due to your mention of attending APW, I would imagine you are flying, which would make me believe you will be driving from the Seattle airport. There was an awesome/cheap grocery store right off whatever that interstate between Seattle and the Gorge is, but I can't remember it for the life of me. I'll ask my ride from last year. She'll know.

I remember going into the general store on Sunday before the show. The line-up was crazy, but I was curious to see what was in there. Most of the food/snacks were all gone. They had some crappy stuff left over, lots of water, lots of soda/vitamin water type drinks and actually lots of beer (surprising). Nothing was that badly overpriced, but I also didn't really buy much either. I would agree with the others, and get your food/drinks before you get to the fest. Much higher quality and much lower cost.

The beer wasn't that overpriced, we had to restock on Monday. The George Exxon Mini-Mart is always a good place to stock up. It's about 15 minutes from the Gorge, and has cheap booze. It's food supply wasn't great though, I ended up eating tuna-corn and tortilla chips for most of the weekend.

Thanks for all the help and suggestions! We are driving from Seatac and plan to stop somewhere on I-90 to get supplies. We're staying in Ellensburg Friday night and I was hoping that town might have everything we need in the way of food and drink. It's good to know that drinking is an option in the amphitheater even if it is expensive. I'm sure after some $11 beers I'll be craving some shit on a stick too

I'm so excited to take this quote out of context.

I overheard someone suggest using clear plastic bags for food and bringing that into the festival. Has anyone seen if the gates are ok with this?

They have stated on the Gorge "rules" that food in a clear plastic bag is okay to bring into the festival.
