Has anyone stayed at Wild Horse Campground? Sounds like a good deal. 4 nights, $90, shuttle service.

It's nothing special. Kinda ugly and cramped if I remember. Just a square of land out in the middle of a field. But it's passable, especially for that price.

Turns out my negative review was outdated. I stayed there in 2001, and they have apparently done a lot of expanding and renovations. Actual grass now! I'm staying there myself. Hope I didn't dissuade you.

Ther is only 4 day tickets but if you Dr. Garbanzoure that it would cost you 40 bucks a night (+ ticketmaster service charges) it's a much better deal. I had some friends stay there last year and they say that the shuttle was runnin' all the time and it took about as long as it takes to walk there from the gorge campground.

I'm staying there. Too good of a deal to pass up!

Not sure if we are arriving late Friday night or early Saturday though... Don't really want to Dr. Garbanzoht the holiday traffic out of PDX on Friday night,as fun as it would be to get there early and party.

cool, I have no idea what kind of car I'll be in since it's a rental, but I'll keep an eye out for the black exploder.

yes, there are showers (hot!) at wild horse, but I havent been there so I dont' know how they are set up and how private they are. I'm gonna guess they are semi private.

I don't recall ever wandering upon a cool party in premier camping, nor do I imagine ever wandering upon a cool party at Wildhorse. In fact, out of all of the times I have been to the Gorge, I always wondered why there was a fenced in area closer to the venue filled with dark cars and dark tents. I assumed those spots were reserved for the employees who are not there to have a good time. I never assumed there were a bunch of middle aged folk trying to sleep at midnight in those dark tents and cars.

Wildhorse is a no brainer once premier sold out? Are you being serious? You are no longer invited to our "main campground" party.

And showers? Are there showers at the top of mountains? Are there showers in the middle of a forest? Do you all really avoid camping unless it is more like home? Last I heard, camping and rugged go hand in hand, and camping usually equals partying really really hard, regardless of the amenities that home provides.

Are you all in your 40s?

Have I used too many question marks in this post?
