If you can get there without a vehicle, camping is free.

I have not heard many stories about picking up rides on Craigslist or whatever, but if you can pull it off, all the power to you.

Ever camped at Coachella?

Try Bonnaroo. The dust in 2006 was so bad that my buddy had to leave due to a horrible sinus infection. People were walking around wearing SARS masks![/quote]

Good thing we are going to Sasquatch where this is not an issue. Yet another reason it is the best ever. WOOP WOOP 8-)

thanks. yeah, i've never been this disorganized with planning something before, but really wanted to go to the fest. if need be, the worse thing we'll do is find someone to share a car rental with. say no to hitching.

same thing at Pemberton in the Festival grounds. by the 2nd day everybody looked like they were going to rob a bank in the old west. bandanas, dust masks, etc. anything you could cover your face with really.

When you search "Sasquatch," it doesn't show up in the results. Like it has every other year.

I believe the wristbands are only for premier campers. I've never had to wear a wristband for general camping.

I don't remember having one last year, I could be wrong though. The wristband situation used to be insane at Getty's Cove when they were still open. So many Gorge campers tried sneaking in, I remember a few getting caught.

As far as I know wristbands are only for Premium (stayed there last year), and of course for drinking at the concert itself. Premium campers were allowed to wander wherever they saw fit. Security guards checked everyone coming back into Premium, and were actually pretty fucking awful about it too. I can understand you'll get a few drunkards trying to weasel their way in, but for the most part they were pretty much dicks.
