Looking for a Premier Camping Split
« Thread Started on May 21, 2009, 2:52pm »

Short version: Looking for someone who has premium camping, but less than 4 people in their car. Contact me directly at kiriath@gmail.com

Long Version:
My friends and I are camping for the entire weekend in the premier area, but my girlfriend is now able to come for the first day. But we can't get her into the campground with out another pass.

Apparently the premium campers are given 4 wristbands per car, which we have filled up already. So I'm looking for someone who isn't using all 4 of their wristbands and who would be willing to sell one to us so my girlfriend can camp with us at our premium site for one day. So again, if you are in the premium area and have less than 4 people in your car, please email me directly at kiriath@gmail.com

Thanks!

Where did you hear that information?

We are in a similiar boat...3 people and 1 car coming in from Vancouver, meeting 3 people in another car coming from Vernon and we were all hoping to camp together in the 1 premium camping pass we bought.

so, 6 people, 2 cars. I emailed the gorgeinfo email address and got this response to my question:

"there is an over flow lot that cars can be parked at for $25 for the weekend or $10 a day. it is best and less confusing if you are all together when arriving to the campsite"

So, they are implying that we can have that many people in a premium spot...but just not two cars...so we were hoping to drop all the gear off, and then park on of the cars somewhere for the weekend.

On the main sasquatch website it clearly states that Reg camping is 4 people/car/site....but the Premium camping is way less clear.

I mean, you can fit 6 people in an RV no problem...even a mini-van can carry more.

So, maybe you'll be allright? What did you hear from the gorge people exactly regarding premium camping rules?

I'm going off this:
http://sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index....224&page=1#4093

This is our first time in premier camping so I'm not entirely sure how it will work out, but it seems that they are restricting it to 1 car per pass, and 4 people per pass. This actually makes sense, though I wish they spelled it out on their site in a FAQ better or something.

We only have three people on our premiere pass. But we're probably not going to be rolling into the campground until around 5 or 6. You can email me at a_rousseau@live.com if you're interested. And yes it is only 4 people per a pass, which is going to cause a lot of people problems because they didn't make it very clear on their website.

I'm just posting this warning for people who haven't already bought Premier camping tickets. DON'T DO IT!! PREMIER CAMPING WAS A MASSIVE RIPOFF IN 2009!!

You pay $170 (almost double the $99 for general camping at the Gorge and the $90 you can pay for far superior camping at Wildhorse). For this we got pooper to pooper camping directly next to the general camping, filthy toilettes and showers, virtually no noise difference from general camping and a shuttle bus that was supposed to get us in early but arrived 2 hours late on the first day. It was a shameful ripoff.

Agreed.

Besides taking the shuttle and getting to bypass the extremely long line waiting to get in, it really isn't worth it.

I will go with premium again just to not have to wait in line at the gate though, makes it a lot easier to get the rock face...

definitely agreeing that it was a ripoff last year, so many broken promises and inadequate showers and bathrooms. they're going to have a lot of angry people up their asses if they don't improve the conditions significantly this year.

if you don't want to camp anywhere near the general campground, don't show up right at noon on friday. from my observation last year, they began filling in the premium campground at the end closest to the general ground first. my friends and i arrived probably around 5pm on friday and were plenty far enough away that we were able to sleep several hours each night.
