My friends want to show up early on Thursday and leave Tuesday morning, however I can't do that. I'll have to get there late Thursday or early Friday and leave immediately after the festival ends on Monday. Since I want to camp with them in premier, I think that only leaves me with an option of buying my own premier pass so I can show up whenever I'm able to before the festival, park my car somewhere and then go find my friends. This is a pretty expensive option and I'd rather not have to shell out that extra money unless it's completely necessary. Does anyone have any experience with the official parking lot? Is it even a possibility for my friends to get an extra wristband for me when they go in, then I'd park my car in a lot and meet up with them somewhere? I've never had to travel there alone before.

General camping is included in the price of your ticket. Just go in on a premiere camping pass with your friends; they'll be given the correct amount of wristbands and can hold onto yours until you arrive. At that point, just park your car somewhere in the general campground and join your friends in premiere.
Make sure to check on your car periodically, and make sure you know that premiere is for dumbs.

There's no difinitive answer for your question. Sometimes you can score an extra premier wristband or two and sometimes you can't. Basically boils down to who is handing them out and whether they feel like breaking the rules as I'm sure they are told by some superior to only hand out wristbands based on the number of passangers (limit 4) in the vehicle. For the record, we always travel with 5 in our vehicle and have enver had an issue with getting wristbands while only purchasing one premier pass.
If your group can manage to score an additional wristband all you would have to do is park your car in general camping considering it's free with the purchase of your 4-day pass.
Basically, it's possible to show up seperately in your own vehicle, sans additional premier pass, and still end up beig able to camp in premier with your friends. The only thing you have to be aware of, is that it's not guaranteed. And will only be guaranteed if you purchase the additional pass.
HEY RUSTY I'M POLITELY ANSWERING QUESTIONS!!! HOW DO LIKE THEM APPLES!!!

I should have mentioned that the past three years we've had a minimum of five people in our group, and it's looking like there'll be at least that many again. It'd be a huge gamble to hope that they'd give out a fifth or sixth wristband for someone that's not in the vehicle. If they wouldn't and I didn't pre-buy a premier pass I'd likely be camping by myself in general the whole weekend.

Why don't they camp the first night in general and then when you get there the next day, you all go into premier together? It seems like a big hassle, setting up and tearing down and setting up again, but this seems like the only option that will ensure you get a wristband.
Also, if you think there might be six of you, perhaps you should be buying a second pass anyway so #5 and #6 are guaranteed wristbands too.

Lots of people are saying that. I imagine if there's no option in presale you will need to wait for general sale.

I just went through the process and it gave the option to get a premier pass with the festival ticket. I don't know how that works for people that already bought tickets.
