I'm pretty sure no one got banned and I'm pretty sure the deletion was an accident that was called out. In public. We've all been reactionary at some (many) (wonk) times but that's how most people started here.


I appreciate the attempt at, "everyone quit pointing their finger at my screaming toddler, because over there teenagers are beating up a homeless dude,' but my posts are anything but "reactionary." They are extremely calculated, more so than anyone understands.

And we're supposed to believe the deletion of the thread was "accidental," like this happens all the time and has nothing to do with the content?

I stand corrected, apparently she was banned. Which I do not agree with. I do not, however, have a screaming toddler to defend. These are my very own thoughts about things. I still maintain my point.

The deletion of the thread WAS accidental. I explained that.

More to the point, this:

CROWELL -- As soon as Sasquatch starts paying me and letting me into the festival for free, this board will start to trend more towards your nebulous concept of 'utility'. Until then, yeah, that is not going to happen. As a matter of fact, this place is like the responsible older brother of the version of the board that existed in 2010. And if you'd believe it, probably 95% of the regulars (excluding stamper) will tell you that this place was a whole hell of a lot better then than it is now. You're new here; do not roll up and start demanding that we change the fundamental nature of this board.

STAMPER -- I'm not getting it, dude. You agree with crowell that this place should be more about this ridiculous notion of 'utility' than it is about the personalities of the people who come here. WHY? Not only do you know pretty much everything there is to know about the festival -- you could answer any single one of these 'utility' questions yourself -- but you have explicitly said that it is entirely likely that you'll never come to the festival again. On the other hand, if the board (as it is) is about the personalities of the regulars, well... Man, you don't seem to particularly like the majority of the regulars anyway. It makes me wonder why you continue to come here. 100% of your posts for the last several weeks have had the obvious intention of encouraging dissent through bitching and just generally being disagreeable. For example, I know that you type like an adult as a rule, but all of a sudden when your position of power is compromised do you start encouraging noobs to type like fucking children. Sure as fuck seems like you're just doing that to encourage people to disagree with ME on the issue, in spite of the fact that nearly every other regular here feels the same way about it that I do.

Fuck blerg. I was in a bad mood today and she started flipping her bitch shit at me within five posts, regardless of the fact that my initial response to her question was entirely well-intentioned and intended to be helpful. I didn't delete her thread, but I sure as hell got rid of her after she became abusive and combatant for seriously no fucking reason at all. Should I have done that? Perhaps not, but I categorically do not care.

lol wut? I'm fairly certain that's not what I said. At all. I just think it's shitty when new people get run off for no reason. I always have felt that way too.

Also, I don't have any issues with anybody who currently posts on this forum. This insistence by you that I do is really tired.

I found out this morning that the Residents are throwing in the towel after forty years. This is the farewell tour. I am heartbroken, pretty emotional, and kinda freakin' out.
