 The "No Re-Entry" Policy
« Thread Started on Apr 21, 2011, 10:33am »

Could someone clarify this?

What I'm afraid it means is that you cannot travel freely between the campground and the festivities, that once you have gone inside the festivities you cannot return to your tent later and come back again for more muzak. Please tell me it does not mean that.

Please tell me that it means you cannot leave the general Sasquatch grounds and go to the gas station or something.

Thankz!

That is in fact exactly what it means. Once you are in the festival grounds, you can't go back to your tent until you decide to leave the festival for the day. Know it, love it.

By the way, when you started this same thread yesterday it got moved into the First Timers Q & A thread. Weird nobody mentioned it was being moved, but it's there still in case this thread gets deleted.

Sasquatch is not only a music festival, it is a test of endurance. Pack lightweight layers and snacks!

Yeah, that rule sucks, for sure, especially since other fests allow re-entry. It isn't a festival rule, though, its a Gorge rule, though. The Gorge has some strict policies.

It is lame, but as mentioned above, endure it and love it. You'll be a better person for thinking ahead of time.

Truth is, that there's too much going on to really even want to or need to go back to the tents. Pack what you need and deal with it.

Sorry about the duplicate thread. I was certain I had made it but couldn't find it. Even tried to recover from my browser history. Dr. Garbanzoured it had been lost due to one of incalculable faulty computer functions or false mouse-clicks.

I sm0ke a lOt of p0dt.

((Also, I come from another forum which displays an clickable icon next to each thread that you've posted in, makes it much easier to track your discussions.))

Anyway, endurance is great and all, but what about people with health conditions who might not want to keep up with endurance or people who maybe want to go back to their tent and fuck or check on their stuff or forget their stupid fucking diaper bag? What about those people?

I'm just sayin'...they charge an arm and two fucking legs for tickets (hey man, I know it ain't cheap to throw a party like that) but seriously. We're on vacation not suspension. >:^[

All those people are shit outta luck, just like you and me. Apparently there is plenty of room to fuck up on the cliff overlooking the festival grounds, though.

1) don't bring kids to Sasquatch
2) pack your bag to go to the festival site the night before. Right after you get back to your tent. This way you'll know exactly what you'll need, you'll reconsider bulky/heavy items, and you won't have to rush in the morning/mid-afternoon to throw stuff together in order to get to the site to see that band you really want to see
3) Once you're in, you're in. Once you're out, you're out. No takesies backsies. It's like passing out at a party. If you wake up with a sharpie-dick drawn on your face, there's really nothing you can do about it except reflect about what went wrong.
4) People with health conditions can be taken care of by the on-site medical staff.
5) I'm sure it can't be that hard to find a place to fuck at the festival site. Behind the Dance tent, in a romantic and secluded honey-bucket, or even right out on the grass once the sun goes down.
6) You don't want to make the trek from the campsite to the festival or vice-versa more than twice a day. Trust me. You will pack what you need after the first day. By the 4th day you'll be a fucking pro at packing a bag full of everything you'll need for the day.

Agreed on all counts but since it doesn't seem to be something that is going to change, we try to embrace it as part of the experience.

Correct.

Technically they do say once your vehicle enters camping it cannot leave and re-enter. However, I have never seen this rule enforced and have left the campsites to stock up on supplies in years past.
