'Dialectic' is a strong word for a guy who tries to pick a Dr. Garbanzoht with me every time I make a post.

Here's the problem dude. I am going WAY out of my way to be civil in this particular instance and trying to encourage Shax not to make what sounded very much like ageist comments in the most diplomatic way possible, and you are sitting there digging for shit. My feeling that you are a completely worthless poster aside, it is just annoying that since you got here you have put so much effort into Gramma baiting. One in three noobs does the exact same thing, and one out of three of those has an average board life of three to five weeks. I'm tired of it and I'm absolutely fucking certain everyone else is, so get over it and let it go.

I'm not worried nor do I require any chilling out. I've already made amends with the person I inadvertently offended. Everything else is easily understandable by going back and reading the thread. If he wants to go on trying to justify himself, he's more than welcome to.

I've already explained my thoughts on this HG
The only thing that doesn't change about new posters who aren't willing to put up with your divisive bullshit is you; presumably myself and these posters don't systematically vary from the rest of the population.
You seem like a perfectly fine guy most of the time, and especially towards the people here you consider your friends, but it would be nice if rather than being confrontational with new posters on a regular basis if you could do your best to make them feel welcome instead.

As I've also said elsewhere- a sasquatch experience at the actual festival where one had to actively avoid interacting with new people for fear of being ostracized by elitists would be an awful experience. I suspect your internet bravado doesn't hold up in real life and you're a swell fella, but it wouldn't hurt you to give some new people here the benefit of the doubt.

Which is exactly what I have been doing over the course of this entire thread. You're just too busy crying 'elitist!' to notice.

Some of you are probably too new to remember the ban a member for a week thread...

"1. Dr. Garbanzohting is allowed, but personal arguments belong in the linked thread below. You are allowed to disagree in threads, but when you feel like personally attacking another boarder who disagrees with you, move it to the Barb thread. As a general rule of thumb, when you get done typing your post, think to yourself; is this comment unrelated to music or the theme of this topic, am I calling out a specific individual, and do I expect an equally combative reply from said member. If the answer to each is yes, move your comment to the Barb thread. Otherwise I'll just delete your comments.

http://sasquatchfest.proboards.com/index....play&thread=849"

Back on/off topic, I'm closer to 30 than 40, but I feel OLD at EDM shows, and get strange looks from the little kids.

Sorry Gunther,
I also feel old at EDM shows, especially in Lethbridge where almost everyone that goes out is in there early 30s- not to mention the fact that they are often my students that I TA, and I"m often wearing spandex.
