OK OK I'll look into a grill!!

One more question: my friend and I are both 20, which is old enough to drink where we come from but unfortunately doesn't cut it in the U. S. of A. We're driving down with a couple dudes who can buy us liquor at the duty free, but they won't be going to the festival with us. Do we have to worry about our booze getting confiscated by these ex-con Yellow Shirts I've read about?

From what I remember, the only thing the ex-cons are checking when you drive up is that you've got your tickets. Nobody checked my age/ID or if we had booze in the car.

Frig America is weird.

Anyone walking around the campground with handfulls of meat in search of a grill is more than welcome to use mine.

Maybe you can elude the mullets protecting the premiere camp by tossing some hamburger meat in the opposite direction as a distraction.

Snorlax's doofy boyfriend got busted for underage drinking last year, but that kid was an idiot. Generally you shouldbe fine if you play it cool.

In the campground, that is. I do not suggest even attempting to drink in the venue. You WILL get kicked out.

When the yellow mullets took away people's "water bottles", they didn't check IDs, right?

From my expereinces, if you are caught drinking in the venue and you have a wristband indicating you are 21+ you were given a pass (they take away your "water bottle." However, if you are not of age you very well may be drug to the gates and told to keep out. BEWARE THE YELLOW MULLETS!

We're pretty good at being subtle when situations call for it. Since there's re-entry this year, could we not get wasted first thing in the AM, drunk-trek over and then revisit our camp to drink more once hangovers start setting in? Or would this be a HUGE pain?

(If it's only a small pain then we'll suck it up, we go to extraordinary lengths for the ability to get fitshaced)

Just coming in to also recommend a grill as a necessity. The past couple years my buddy's girlfriend has cooked us something different on the grill every night, usually burgers, hot dogs, steak, chicken, corn, etc. and it's amazing after a long day in the venue. We usually eat a solid breakfast and bring a few little snacks and a sandwich for the day and it'll get us by until we get back to camp.

Yeah, don't bring any alcohol into the venue if you're underage. Just don't.
