Delicious. Couldn't find rice syrup so we used corn syrup and sub'd brown sugar, craisins, and sunflower seeds in.

If you pass by an Alberta flag (http://www3.sympatico.ca/goweezer/canada/canpics/zflagalberta.gif) and a silver Mustang (the car) stop by and see if we have coffee! I am trying my best to find a way to make large batches.

I am thinking instead of making a coffee infused bar or snack that I would bring some of those effervescent caffeine tablets and some electrolyte tablets to mix with my drinking water. Seems like the cheapest, lightest, best caffeine delivery system for a festival. Anyone have suggestions on which kinds are good tasting, effective, and preferably cheap?

I stay in hotels a lot for work and if they have those little coffee makers you can steal the little coffee packets. They are basically coffee in a giant tea bag and make 4 cups of coffee. Just take one of those, heat up 4 cups of water and stir that coffee bag around in there for a while. Tastes pretty much like real coffee.

I have no idea if you can find these coffee bags in stores though.

A person could also bring some of those Starbucks Via packets. Still have to heat up the water and whatnot, but you could mix it up and have an iced coffee in the middle of the afternoon if you were so inclined.

I was thinking of a french press but it has some problems:

glass. I am travelling from edmonton and spending a week afterwards camping, the less breakables the better.

I don't ever see any that allow for more than 3-4 cups of coffee.

time consuming. seems to be a slow way of making coffee to me.

These are true for your situation except for the time consuming part. You just boil water and then let it steep for a few minutes. I just said it because I love french press coffee, I think it tastes better. Although I will say that ours is glass and plastic and we have brought it to, like, four Sasquatches and all over tarnation camping and it has held up well.

You can get a pretty good plastic/glass Bodum for pretty cheap. We've got one for camping and it works great and hasn't broken yet!

Kinda like this:
