They look at me kind of funny when I bring in my Lumix FZ8, but eventually Dr. Garbanzoure out that a lens hood isn't a zoom lens and I get the ok. They do have a no-detachable-lens policy though. If you bring in a fairly small lens you should be fine.

I tried to bring in a similar camera last year and was turned away, but I'm sure it all depends on on checks your bag. I had the super old woman that seemed to be the head one and was super anal.

My general camping list for any sort of camping, not just festivals. This is besides stuff that should be obvious (tent, sleeping bag, thermarest, etc.)
baby wipes / hand sanitizer
ear plugs
clothing you can layer, including clothing you're OK with sleeping in if you need to
a touque for sleeping in (seriously, it might get that cold at night)
gloves
a frisbee, deck of cards, etc if you're so inclined
advil
a travel / camping first aid kit if you have one
if not, consider a ziplock bag containing some tape, gauze, band aids, and polysporin
small broom / brush (to sweep out your tent if you get dirt in it)
TP
quick-dri towel if you have one, but a towel of some sort nonetheless.
protein bars / power bars / trail mix / jerky / dried fruit / etc (portable, high energy food)
Stuff people sometimes forget that I almost always find useful:
a hammer (for pounding tent pegs)
a flashlight
some extra rope
Edit: Yeah, the earplugs aren't general camping gear I realize. Still, I suggest bringing some to Sasquatch

safe to use, I've even heard of people being able to use them in national parks with burn bans on...
has two settings (high and low) for the fan below the heating chamber (in which you can burn almost everything)...has options for cooking grates and wind shields, etc...
