Hey there. I know how annoying it is when n00bs start new topics that are already answered, so I checked and my situation appears to be unique for this year.
I'm in a band. We were asked by a friend to play an on-campgrounds party, not associated with the official festival, but raging nonetheless. It would be an awesome opportunity for our band and a good time for everyone.
Here's the catch: we needed tickets to the festival to go camping. And tickets are sold out.
So I'm wondering if there's any way for us to get into the campgrounds without going to the festival? Would just buying a single-day pass work? Is there a special pass for just camping? Can just one person in the car have a festival pass and make it work?
any answers would be much appreciated.

okay, i have a couple of questions. reading this message board has kind of made me worried about the showering situation...i know, i know i'm camping but i like to shower. are the showers really that awful??
also, my friends and i are driving from california and we're kind of clueless as to what to bring...i know i'm a total noob but we want to be comfortable in our home for the weekend haha.

I've never bothered to use the showers before, so perhaps some other board members can help you out in that department.

Oh, and OP: There's an easy solution here. Just park in the free parking lot, and carry your equipment to the campground. Security will have no questions for you at all.

Man, carrying equipment that far? That sounds awful.
The free showers are pretty awful. Mostly cold. And they are bad at marking which one is women's and which one is men's (accidetally saw a nekkid laydee my first year!)
This past year (I'm assuming they'll do it again), there's nice, hot showers in some trailer that I think you pay like $3 for (I didn't do it, but one of the people I was with did.) If I'm wrong somebody let me know, but I'm pretty sure that's how it worked.

The $3 showers are just fine! It was a huge improvement from years past. They are bringing them back this year. "The Pivot" is here to stay. Pea's link to www.gorgecamping.com gives all of this info.
To answer the OP, if you get single day passes you would be ok for the night before you have tickets for, and the night of the show. Your campground band camp party will get shut down though. Eventually.

That's what I was hoping for, although the camping rules say otherwise:
"You will not be allowed to access the campgrounds unless you have your Sasquatch Festival ticket."

I've been thinking of maybe getting a festival pass myself and bringing the other band members in with me. I guess it's anyone's guess how well they'll be checking people for tickets.

Apparently it's some big deal involving multiple school buses and a bunch of DJs, although I'm assuming we'll be done playing by 1am. Do they come collect you, then, after the day you've paid for?

Oh, there's a solution for that, too. Pull up MS Paint, make yourself an "ALL-ACCESS PASS" with your band name, a small professional photo of yourself, and "SECURITY LEVEL: 5" on it, and you should walk right by without questions.
EDIT: And for god's sake, don't forget to laminate that baby.

Me and my friends would like to do the same thing. Is there any way to get concrete information on this? We would love to show up Saturday, camp, go Sunday, camp, go Monday, camp, and leave Tuesday. Will two single day tickets cover this, do the single day tickets include any camping??? I really don't want to end up lost in the middle of Washington with no where to sleep (plus I want to get in on the camping experience along with the festival). |

Will anyone be in the campground for this? With campers needing a festival ticket, wouldn't you expect them to be in the festival until 1 am?

When I was in high school band, there were pieces that were graded from I-VI in the symphonic band catalogue. Then there were a few pieces in a level called VI-M classified as "Master Works" that went above and beyond Grade VI material.
This is a VI-M Masterwork.
