I wear flip-floppies every year and am fine. My feet are gonna get stomped anyways, it's not like a little bit of keds is gonna help me. I do buy good squishy ones though, and bring some slip-ons for when it gets cold.

I dispute this. That little bit of canvas does help!

This advice has been a little manic/depressive. Heh, I'm so torn. Do shoes get ruined? Is May a rainy time in Washington? Are heels out? (I kid.)

You should ask the other girl in your car her thoughts.

Don't take my advice! It probably works only for me. Just bring some good comfy shoes and you'll be fine. Remember that you're going to be on your feet for a veerryy long time! (And probably much bouncing!)

You're walking up and down a lot of hills, and the real killer is the paths through the campground, which is paved with very coarse gravel.

This makes sense (except the part about the heels). :-P

Are there many mosquitos around the venue/campground? What about wildlife or critters? Does anything wander in to the area?

by the 2nd day you'll be able to feel every fucking rock on the campground roads through whatever shoes you're wearing anyway, so it doesn't really matter what you bring (unless you want to wear hiking boots all weekend)

...although there was a wild antelope on the loose last year. Nothing a taser and a little pepper spray couldn't handle.

It looks like there are paths from the campground to the venue. How long is the walk, say from the farthest away camping spot?

My friends make hippie jokes. Are the people usually friendly, peaceful folks? Does Sasquatch have a demographic? What are the crowds like?
