I love how Camping Gear / Equipment Suggestions has turned into the bash Canadians thread... I'm going to throw Canadians at all of you. Except the Canadians of course.

Our terms for large change are ridiculous. There is no denying it.

I enjoy how HG was wrong. From what I've seen it doesn't happen often.

It's a pretty huge pissoff to be paying more for stuff when our currency is worth the same. Companies generally will blame it on additional shipping and junk, but when you start talking about big ticket items like vehicles, it's pretty painfully obvious that they're simply taking advantage of us up here. That's why we keep track of the currency. Well that, and we generally vacation in the states, or mexico, where it's still very important to know the value of not only our money but that of our neighbours to the south.

anyway, I plan on having everything I need, and if I want a canopy come festival time I'll stop in the states and pick one up. That $50 or so can better be spent on drinking myself into a coma at night.

I'm too paranoid to not have everything I could possibly need in my car like 2 days before I leave.. So I can see myself having a canopy in the very near future.

DON'T GIVE CANADIAN COINS TO BUMS IN CANADA UNLESS YOU ARE AWARE THAT CANADA HAS COINS WORTH 2 DOLLARS.

No I actually had a pretty good idea that Americans give few very fucks about Canada. Thanks for clearin' that all up though. You actually have a fairly interesting insight into the topic.

If we all meet up, we should all buy a strand and just make the craziest tent ever, even if it is highly illogical.

I'm down!

It'd be a way cooler version of a pillow fort.
