Just stop responding to anything he says. It's like Santa Claus, if you don't acknowledge his existence he'll disappear....except Santa doesn't buy up all the coolest toys and then charge kids double.

Alex, I bought something like this last year and it was TREMENDOUS. sweltering hot tents are unbearable. The one I bought is a Coleman and it attaches with a magnet. We also moved it to clip to the top of our canopy at night so the LED's could light everything up.

did the fan work well? in my experience, tent fans aren't very helpful.

this one attaches by caribeener (sp?) I believe. It was just an example though, I'll be doing some shopping around. Glad to hear it worked out for you. One of these days I'll buy a canopy, but for now I'll just wander into random sites and make friends with people who already own one, haha.

We brought a canopy last year. Some douche (or the wind) knocked it down, and we never found one of the poles... RIP canopy.

I suggest spending roughly $90 on a more sturdy canopy, one that can withstand the winds of the gorge. I've gone several years without, but last year a bunch of people in my crew went in on one and it was indispensible. Protects from rain AND direct, beating sunlight... Saved my hash, honestly.
The one we have still took a beating from the wind, but it was still standing at the end of the weekend.

That's almost as bad as scalping tickets. I'm going to get a canopy this year - I've gone without and I'm always jealous.

I've decided I'm never buying anything in Canada again. Even the cheapest and crappiest of those canopies start at $130.
Walmart in Spokane at 7am will happen once again if I make the trip this year.
